With the Republican National Committee throwing its resources behind Romney the Presidential race is now really on.

I believe that Mitt Romney will be the Republican candidate. However, I believe he will enter the presidential contest, with an anchor holding him back? The first being genuine Christians/Muslims/Jews, who still believe, one can't serve both mannon and God.
The second is the computer literate generation of republican/independent/prosperous Blacks, swinging voters, who still support Ron Paul, and who would prefer to switch to Obama than support corporate raider Romney, when those become the only remaining choices?
That said, the article is erudite, informed and instructive; and or, contains very little one can actually disagree with. Rhrosty.

As an after thought or footnote, one sees the Obama campaign being enormously assisted by the unfolding events in Tory/conservative controlled Europe, where the Republican/Conservative austerity fix has been implemented with great fanfare, and has failed just as spectacularly.
It was the very same very limited thinking or idiotic ideological imperatives; and their implementation, that created the Great Depression.
It seems that very few learn the lessons of history; particularly, conservative thinkers? Who inevitably destroy the very economies that formerly supported them, by taking/demanding larger and larger slices of a shrinking pie!
It seems, they invariably fail to understand that their road to even greater individual riches, is via the construction of much larger economic pies? Complex rationalists and or complex rationalisation invariably misses the big picture and the simplicity of the answers?
The problem for Europe and elsewhere is not debt per se; but rather, the interest margins greedy profiteering speculators would wring from it? When those speculators are forced to take a haircut, and drop their interest charges, the European economy might be just able to pick itself up off the floor; via cooperative capitalism?
You know, the very basis for the recovery from complete and utterly devastating bankruptcy, in both war-torn Germany and Japan, both of which went on to become; economic engine houses for their respective spheres of economic influence.
In Germany, the recovery was underwritten by the Marshall plan, cooperative capitalism and very low interest loans?
In Japan however, the money was largely created internally by social credit and cooperative capitalism, which saw every element inside Japanese society, combine in and for the national interest, to both prosper the economy; and indeed, become the second largest world economy, before it was effectively destroyed by dog eat dog, individualistic extreme capitalism?
