Another PA piece from the Israel Lobby. Reading between the lines here there seems to be another attack on terrorists hidden between innocent civilians planned. The only thing missing is an 'Incident'.

Certainly Mr. Meyerowitz-Katz in his role as a propagandist for the Jewish Affairs Council, often likened as a amateur version of the US equivalent , the Israeli fifth column, AIPAC, would have these opinions. That is his job.
In this day and age we can still see some examples of the existence of the wonderful storytellers of old; Hans Christian Andersen and the like. In this case we have the Sayanim version of the Brothers Grimm, offering their interpretation of the current situation in the stolen lands of Palestine. We find that the writer has just returned from behind the apartheid walls of his homeland charged up with the fantasies by the Israeli PR machine, always anxious to convert the gullible to the Zionist dogma. In Israel, which is also laughingly known as ‘the only democracy in the Middle East’, human rights websites cannot be accessed from Ben-Gurion, the country’s only international airport.” This so-called democracy, singularly the most disliked state in the whole world with its disgraceful history of Palestinian home demolitions, murders by settlers, the bulldozing of crops diverting of water and stealing of land, reflects proudly on its unique record of massacres at Shatila and Sabra and the phosphorous bombing of women and children as they successfully managed to quote “quell most of the violence”. What next? Now this is the democracy we understand well from the days of Hitler’s Reich. ‘The next time someone travels through Ben-Gurion airport, one might not be able to access the websites of Israeli rights groups like Physicians for Human Rights and B’Tselem, not because they have been blocked, but because the organizations have been shut down’. So states Neve Gordon, a regular and respected writer in these columns. Democracy, Israeli style. The recently announced boycott of Israeli goods by the Marrickville City Council is now part of a growing alienation by most genuinely democratic countries as well as institutions of academic study. A growing trend to acquaint the war-weary world that the behaviour of the pariah state of Israel will not be tolerated. Thankfully, the world is better informed today. So now the oppressors are going to 'civilise' the oppressed. This is the language of apartheid, which is what Zionism is. And they have a quisling group - the PLO - to help them in their colonial settler state ambitions. The two state solution is really about creating Palestinian bantustans.
The revolution in Tunisia going on right now opens up the possibility, if it is successful and undertakes its historic tasks, of reshaping North Africa and the Middle East. That includes ultimately the liberation of Palestine. Posted by Passy, Thursday, 13 January 2011 12:44:12 PM

Such misinformation indeed libels against the state of Israel is the new face of ugly anti-semitism. ...
If Israel wasn't a 'Jewish' state - albeit only 75% Jews, with all other groups having the same priviledges and rights of Jews themselves - the above writers wouldn’t direct even a cursary glance in Israel’s direction. Such Irrational hatreds cannot be accounted for. Neither Physicians for Human Rights, nor B’Tselem, indeed none of the twenty or more human rights organisations in Israel have been shut down. Nor has there been any censorship of the press - freedom of speech has unfettered currency in Israel. In comparing Israel with Nazi Germany Rhys Stanley demonstrates no knowedge of a even a rudimentary kind, of the Third Reich. No human rights organisations were permitted in Germany at this time, nor was there freedom of the press; freedom of speech came with a death sentence in a concentration camp. Such deliberate heineous comparisons and juxtapositions of Jews/Third Reich is part of the very ugly face of the new anti-semitism. I suggest that a psychological study of those who make such claims would reveal their true nexus regarding Jews and the Third Reich. When groups boycott Israeli goods they should also boycott all medical, technical and other scientific advances/inventions which Israel exports to other countries. Israel is ithe vanguard of many advances benefitting mankind. Undoubtedly, those boycotting Israeli goods would be prepared to forgoe Israeli breakthroughs and devices saving lives in such areas of coronary disease; cancer, neonatal dangers, even inventions enabling paraplegics to walk - the list goes on. Then the israeli inventions in computer, mobile phone, etc technologies ... and in agriculture. Many undoubtedly are now compelled to throw away their computers and mobile phones. White phosphorous is a commonly used incendiary agent used in conflict to illuminate targets at night or create a smoke screen for day incursions. In January 2009, the International Red Cross handed down a report that Israel had neither improperly nor illegally used this substance. Tools of conflict are never benign. cont ... The Sabra/Chatila Palestinian camp massacres which witnessed the murder of between 328 to 3,500 innocent people (the figure remains disputed) was committed by Lebanese Phalangists; not Israelis. No Israelis committed any murders, indeed did not enter the camps. The Phalangist leader, Elie Hobeika, has been a cabinet minister since the 1990’s, previously being a popular, long-serving MP in the Lebanese Government. Israel mounted its investigation as to Israel’s responsibilty in letting the Phalangists enter the camps. The Kahan commission found Ariel Sharon personally responsible, and brought down its verdict accordingly. Three facts are evident. the Lebanese officer who ordered the massacre was highly rewarded; Sharon was condemned; Palestinians are regarded as detritus in Arab states; their conditions remain particularly appalling in Lebanon.
This comes to the issue of Arab agency. Rhys Stanley denies Arabs the capability of agency. They are not responsible for their actions. This is paternalism at its worst - unmitigated racism. It remains unknown as to whether Sharon knew of the intentions of the Phalange before enabling them to to enter the camps. What is clear, however, is that Rhys Stanley and his ilk believe that Arabs need a “keeper”. I am not associated with any Jewish/Israeli lobby group. I direct the following quote to Rhys Stanley, Joaquin and Passy, who are, however, either ill-informed or deliberately malicious. “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” - George Orwell. I could not agree more. "The Sabra/Chatila Palestinian camp massacres which witnessed the murder of between 328 to 3,500 innocent people (the figure remains disputed) was committed by Lebanese Phalangists; not Israelis. No Israelis committed any murders, indeed did not enter the camps." This is a very good and clear example of propaganda. Bending, twisting and omitting facts and still present something as the truth. The Israelis send the killers in and watched without doing anything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabra_and_Shatila_massacre Propaganda like the article we are commenting on here.
