"The simple fact is that the majority of large corporations will do whatever it takes to generate increased profits."

For some reason, most greens think that generating increased losses is better for the environment. They think that projects like the pink batts fiasco are good for the environment, and for society. This is simple economic illiteracy.

"The idea that industry should be left to make its own ethical decisions is both dangerous and misguided."

Far more dangerous and misguided would be to allow Lee Rhiannon to force her values on others using the socialists' standard instruments: taxes, fines, rules, regulations, penalties, police, magistrates and prisons. Lee thinks if only she could hammer enough people into obedience she could abolish natural scarcity and achieve a sustainable society. This is to re-run all the wishful thinking and gross ignorance of central command-and-control states all over again. Only now, since socialists were so successful at directing just the economy, they are to direct the ecology as well! Starting with re-adjusting the ratio of the oxidation and reduction of all the carbon in the world!

Honestly, the sheer folly and vanity of the greens would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact that they think getting rid of large numbers of human beings is highly desirable.

Far more Australians own shares in corporations than the combined membership of the Labor, Liberal and Green parties. It's pretty clear where they think their future security lies.

Your 'link' between Better Place and 'the Israeli army's illegal behaviour in occupied Palestinian territory' is so thin as to be laughable.

The fact that the company built recharging stations along the highway in question says nothing other than that they build a service outlet in a place where customers will need to use it. Ooh, the evil!
