Thanks for that informative account. Do you think the General will aspire to a political future, or be courted by Republican politicians?

Maybe McChrystal was smart enough to engineer his own departure
so that he wouldn't be the fall guy for failure in Afghanistan.
Who would want to take that sort of wrap after having their hands
tied behind their back by an incompetent, man-child,
Community-Organiser-in-Chief?

McChrystal has propbably realised what lie the whole war on terrorism is.Hamid Karzai used to work as a consultant to UNOCAL,the oil company wanting to build an oil pipleline from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan ,Pakistan to the Capsian Sea.The Taliaban stopped the production of heroine prior 911 and now Afghaqnistan produces 90% of the world's heroine. Now we see a new discovery of $ trillion in resources in Afghanistan.Lots of lithium for the battery industry.

We will never leave Afghanistan, until it's resources have been exhausted.

Dear Ajay :) and... we (the West) are clearly the first and only grouping of nations to ever ever do that in history...right ?

It isn't good... but it is typical. "All have sinned".. believe the Bible now ? :)

Aaah.. it's good to be on the side of truth.

But it doesn't end there- the next verse states clearly...

"24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

We can't earn it... we can only accept it by faith... and allow it to work in our hearts. (specially me :)
