The same can be said about infectious diseases. Although higher temperatures will, all things being equal, increase the range and activity of insects that carry disease this is just one factor in many affecting the spread of disease. For malaria, for example, the amount of ground water is another, major factor. Then the disease has to be in the area to begin with.
