Even if any of the projections for temperature changes are right they are still too small and slow to be of any real effect on human health. As has been shown frequently, other factors such as issuing (or not issuing) bulletins warning the elderly to stay in shade on hot days completedly overshadow any temperature effects from different seasons.
The same can be said about infectious diseases. Although higher temperatures will, all things being equal, increase the range and activity of insects that carry disease this is just one factor in many affecting the spread of disease. For malaria, for example, the amount of ground water is another, major factor. Then the disease has to be in the area to begin with. As Paul Reiter, of the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, and acknowledged as one of the leading experts on malaria has pointed out time and again, the disease has to be in the area to begin. the disease hasn't been in Europe for decades, threfore it cannot spread no matter how many insects there are..
Climate change should not be considered as a factor in health policy.

We ain't got enough health funding let alone environmentally friendly green health funding.

Curmudgeon is right re heat waves. It's our attitude to the aged (ignoring them in the main) that is the big problem. They die because we don't check up on them.

Cold spells kill far more old people than hot spells, though this is conveniently forgotten when AGW alarmists are spreading fear and despair. But if we are going to invent scenarios then how's this: more CO2 = bigger plants = cheaper fruit and vegetables = healthier people? Or rising sea levels = shorter coastlines = less swimmers = fewer drownings? See, we can make stuff up too.
