Lydia Thorpe is a bully:

"Greens senator Lidia Thorpe’s former chief of staff says he was scared and appalled by her outburst in a meeting with two Indigenous community leaders at Parliament House last year, describing her behaviour among the most unprofessional conduct he has ever witnessed.

The claims by Thorpe’s ex-top adviser reinforce the account of the meeting by Aboriginal elder Aunty Geraldine Atkinson, aged in her 70s, who has previously alleged the tirade of abuse levelled at her by the senator distressed her so much that she sought medical attention from the parliamentary nurse.

David Mejia-Canales, who resigned from Thorpe’s office in June, accompanied the senator to the meeting with Atkinson and Marcus Stewart, the co-chairs of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, and their policy adviser, Nicole Schlesinger, to discuss the state’s treaty process in a committee room in Parliament House, Canberra, on June 22, 2021.

His account of what happened and his efforts to inform the Greens’ leadership of Thorpe’s “appalling conduct” are detailed in an apology email sent from his Parliament House address to Atkinson and Stewart in June, one year after the meeting, as one of his final acts before leaving the senator’s office."

Greens are the modern equivalent of anarchists.

I wonder if it was Thorpe's white half or her black half that bullied the elderly aboriginal lady to the point of needing medical assistance. Probably, she's just plain crazy all the way through.

I am not sure that blaming an entire party for the actions
of one fanatical senator is the right things to do. However,
she needs to be taken aside and told in no uncertain terms
to stop giving the party a bad name. Also that she's doing
a disservice to her cause as well. She's being divisive
and people are turning against supporting her cause. If
she's got and sense she will pay attention. Otherwise the
party can kick her out - as can the voters in her electorate.

Her behaviour is unacceptable.

Come on, this clown is only shouting what the rest of the bunch of twits want to.

Long may she rant, so more people realise what the Greens really represent.

The sad truth is that there are no genuine conservationists among the Greens !

II think Ian Cohen, former Green MP in NSW, was the last genuine conservationist among that party’s MsP.

The aboriginal woman savaged by Thorpe wrote a letter of complaint to Adam Bandt, the supposed leader of the Greens; he did nothing. It is clear that Thorpe is the real public face of the Greens and that she epitomises what they stand for.

Our political parties certainly have their characters.
I guess all political parties are like that.

I've never voted for the Greens. However I have admired
Bob Brown, Larissa Waters, and Christine Milne.

On the other side of the coin - there's certain
Party supporters that make me cringe. Alan Jones
comes top mind. What a vulgar, vulgar, and ignorant
man. So glad that he's been kicked out of the major
out lets and now can't be as influential as he once
was. Hopefully he'll disappear all together before too
long.

As for Lidia Thorpe?

She certainly is presenting what one commentator
described as "the ugly side of politics."
Which is unfortunate for her people because it's
driving many voters away - and defeating her
purpose.

Even the lefty Joe Hildebrand thinks the lunatic Thorpe "is doing a good job of destroying the Greens". He believes that the ridiculous party is "explicitly accepting and implicitly endorsing (her) behaviour".

The Greens have repeatedly "refused to condemn or even mildly sanction" Thorpe.

Time for the lefties to abandon the Greens and return to the ALP, he reckons.

The "Greens", the sanctimonious finger pointers that are more poisonous than any other party.

Even Adam Bandit has been caught out.

After weeks of virtue signalling by wearing a mask whenever on camera, he was caught maskless in the Qantas Chairmans Lounge.

What a self-righteous hypocrite.

Masks are not mandatory, which is why Bandit is such a phoney when he wears one in parliament and Lectures others yet does not wear one when not on camera.

And let us not forget that Senator Thorpe admitted to lying to get into Parliament.
Why is she still there?

I honestly think the biggest problem in regards to climate, is human beings consumerism in a throw away society.

How about you make me a kettle or a toaster that doesn't end up in the bin after 6 months?
How about a vacuum cleaner that lasts more than 12 months?
Or a microwave that lasts more than 2 years?

Glad they finally made computer printers that don't go into the bin after they run out of ink because the cost of cartridges is more than a new printer.
(Yay for the Epson EcoTank refillable ink printers.)

Why does the earth need to spend so much time and money developing 1000 different models of new cars every year?

Why can't we go back to producing things that are built to last?

Armchair Critic,
That'd only work if the non-productive are paid less & the productive more ! Sadly, Unions don't understand that in order to make a profit, goods & services need to be sold for more than what they cost.
As it is, unproductive services providers are paid more than the productive. See the problem ?

Armchair, I have all three of the appliances that you mention and are
now more than 10 years old and have never needed repair.
My son has a handmedown microwave oven that is now about 30 years
old and still going.
I do not buy top of the line products normally so I cannot complain.

I am not impressed with Adam Brandt.
Some while back I commented on the Stupid people who blew up those
coal fired power stations and never stopped to think;
"Perhaps we should mothball them just in case we need them !"

Statements he has made on the electrical transition system puts him
in the same class.
The Brits and the Germans had the sense to mothball theirs and now
that they have been caught with their pants down, I bet they are very
happy that they mothballed their power stations and coal mines.

The electrical transition is about as stupid as saying a transition
woman can have a baby !

Hi Bazz,

A transition woman can have a baby apparently.

I watched "Insight" a while back and the show was
about transition. There was this guy on the show who
spoke that he and his wife had just had a baby.
Apparently his wife was able to have children, and he
was transitioning into being a male - having been born
a female. Well he stopped taking the hormones and got
pregnant ( can't remember how) - and they had a baby. He's still
not taking his meds - because they want another child.
And after the second child - he will go back to
transitioning on being a male.

So apparently - it can happen.

Hi Bazz,

Sorry, I meant to say - his wife was unable to have
children - that's why they decided he would step in.

Foxy,

A person that is biologically female has a baby! not something I would stop the presses for.

I would take a wild guess that the sperm didn't come from "his" wife.

But let us be charitable, perhaps it was collected from a friend and then administered, via a drinking straw by his wife.
Been done for centuries apparently.

Hi Foxy,

I'm still having a chuckle at your post above, about, got pregs but don't remember how it was done. Since this is a family forum I wont explain.

George who is now Doris, and her hubby George who was Doris before she became George are planning a family. If its a boy they are going to call him Loretta, and if its a girls they will call her Fred, after Aunty Fred, who was Uncle Loretta before he become Aunty Fred...no confusion in that family.

Why the big deal over this?
The sperm was obviously from a male - either a friend
or a sperm donor. Apparently it is very common.

I apologise if I didn't explain it properly. I just
assumed you'd know. With all the technology currently
available to people - it seems that anything is possible.
Who knows what the future holds?

Foxy,

I don't know why any of this is news. Women have babies all the time even gender-confused ones.
