The key to the Republic dilemma is that the Commonwealth is ‘indissoluble’, WA tried opting out and couldn’t do it.
Legally the Commnwealth cannot be dissolved so.cannot legally become a republic and therein lies years of future strife.

The MPs who are.in favour of a republic will do their best to subvert the Constitution but then that’s what one would expect from liars who would swear false oaths/affirmations for money.

As the instigator of this thread perhaps you could steer me in the right directtion to find out more about the referendum in Barbados on a republic that it is so hard to find information about.

No word on the referendum that the citizens of Barbados were promised.
