Just today JoNova has published a piece, with facts put together by Peter Ridd, using figures published by AIMS, [Australian Institute of Marine Science]. He has combined their graphs of the coral cover of the three sections of the reef, north, central & south, into one of the complete reef.
Guess what! The coral cover in 2020 is greater than at any time since AIMS established these surveys in 1984.
Do be careful AIMS, Greenpeace will be after you, destroying one of their biggest donation sources, in the death of the reef, the ABC won’t like it, destroying one of their puff pieces of fill in “news”, & James Cook Uni will be sewing you for the lost grant money they expect to get for research to save the dying reef.
Bet none of the lefties here are game to read the JoNova blog. With the piece citing AIMS data, they would have to believe it’s true. Better not to see it & have to admit they were wrong.
