Interesting that the outbreak in SA is much the same set of circumstances that occurred in Victoria, hotel quarantine, private security guard working somewhere else. Will the Forums 'Usual Suspects' be calling for the head of Steven Marshall as they did for Dan Andrews. As I understand it, the security guard said he went to a pizza shop to buy a pizza, when in fact he was moonlighting as a cook at the shop. This all causes a big cuffle which led to a super lockdown being imposed, now lifted.

SA employed professional security guards with a competent training course. And as happened in NZ, there was a minor outbreak that was quickly squashed with competent contact tracing.

Plague Dan employed his union mates that took indigents off the street and gave them a 30-second induction. Dandemic did bugger all until there were 700 cases a day which took 2 months lockdown to stop and shredded the economy.

Heard Norman Swan on the radio this morning being interviewed about vaccines for the WuFlu.

He said the vaccine won't be of much use if it can only stop a person from getting the WuFlu symptoms.

A person could still become infected and not get sick but can pass the virus onto others.

If the vaccine cannot do this it will be useless.

And from what I gleaned the vaccines being developed will not do this, making them basically useless in preventing the uncontrolled spread of the WuFlu virus into the community by people who have been vaccinated.

I expect our politicians, bureaucrats and business people will be the first to receive the vaccination. If it's not good enough for Soot and the Kidz then it's definitely not good enough for Mr Opinion.

The Libs in SA were looking after their business mates, with poorly trained, poorly paid security people in hotels, business mates were paid the top rate, no so their workers. Why private security guards, two of these guys that we know of, were moomlighting as pizza cooks, at some cockroach hole for cash in hand, highly trained, highly paid professionals, rubbish. Shonkyminister stop gorging yourself on a diet of Murdoch crap, and get down to the cockroach hole and Security Sam will knock up a Covid Special for you with extra pepperoni.

Obviously if you take away the threat of a 14 day quarantine people will let themselves be tested. I think that tells you that the virus is still widespread in China and the the State isn't treating infected people in a humane fashion. Why else would all these people be so scared to get tested and break through the cordon to get away from the authorities?
