The Victorian Andrews Government gone mad.

The Victorian Andrews Government has received from the Federal Government billions of Australian taxpayers cash.
While publicly showing off to Melbourne residents the many level crossing removals.
At the same time they are building new level crossings across the West of Melbourne from Geelong to Melton.
This is a great waste of money .Vline trains capable of speeds upto 200 kph have to cross the many new level crossings being built with Federal funds.
One example of how to waste money and keep private contractors rich is the Ballarat line duplication.
From Sunshine to Melton contractors have duplicated the line.
The new level crossings are now crossing two rail tracks yet no attempt is made to remove them .
To quote a State Labor MP "one thing at a time."
Instead of duplicating just the rail tracks. They are also duplicating the future costs of the duplication.
So from Cairns to Perth all taxpayers are busy propping up a totally inefficient Victorian Premier.

Can you give some examples of these many new level crossings please?

And what makes you think bridges would be more expensive to build when there's two tracks under them?

Hey BROCK,
Is it possible that they're planning for growth and might redo the old track sometime in the future, so that there would be 2 tracks operating;
ie. One track designated for each direction of travel?

Bazz said that Victoria was mad a week ago. Everything about socialism is mad. Andrews has even taken to appearing in Parliament without a tie. People wearing suits without ties are either extreme Left or Muslim, apart from lacking any sartorial elegance.

Oh God it can't be true! "People wearing suits without ties are either extreme Left or Muslim" ttbn are you still wearing your spats and straw hat?
The origins of the tie; a rag tied around a persons neck to be used to blow ones nose on. Having no pockets for a "snot rag" they wore it around their neck. ttbn do you still wear a 'snot rag'around your neck?

Dear Brock,

Sorry mate unless you can come up with proof I'm calling this absolute BS.

Vic Rail by law can not introduce any new level crossings in the state. There have been the odd case where ones that have been closed for a period are reinstated but this is exceedingly rare.

So cough up or retract.
