What did everyone think of Terri's interview. I was quite impressed that at times she seemed to be able to hold it together quite well. She lit up when she spoke about Steve and loves him so much. I was glad I watched it as I, myself needed to see that she will be ok eventually. I was very happy to hear her say that she will remain in Australia.

Yes Deborah..as indeed was I ...it is great that the kids will stay in the home of their father, well Steve did make her promise and Im sure she wont come to regret it (the promise)
Terri is still in a great degree of shock and very emotional as evidenced by her tears..I cried with her. They havent had a chance tob e alone and grieve as a normal family and now that most of the media frenzy has died down I hope they take a trip away from the craziness for a break.. I would be upset if the media tried to make this drag on and on...they need for it all to stop..now.! They should respect their right to privacy as normal pple so they may go through the grieving process in their own way..if not long term baggage will accumulate and manifest in yrs to come. Totally agree Ozgirl. But then again we are still reading things about Lady Di. In time she will move forward and throw herself into the Zoo. Thank God she has those beautiful children.

Hmmmm. I only watched a quarter of an hour or so, but had to stop myself thinking every few minutes, "surely, she's acting?"
The whole thing had such an air of unreality about it. If it was genuine emotion she was showing, it felt slightly unclean to be an intruder into someone's most private feelings. On the other hand, if she was performing for the camera to make sure that her late husband's legacy to her continued to bring in the cash, I guess it was fair enough. Then I told myself not to be so cynical, and turned it off. Posted by Pericles, Friday, 29 September 2006 1:54:50 PM

Pericules, I think she is grieving but it has been such a public thing and so huge that the only thing she could do was go on telly and share her grief with people. Everyone was wondering how she was coping and I for one did not think there was any acting there at all. She is obviously devastated as she was up and down. She showed enourmous strength and courage doing what she did. I am glad you turned it off and did not judge her too harshly. She is a true inspiration and a great role model for little Bindi and Bob. Did you see the follow up on Today Tonight? If not they showed stuff that wasnt put on the interview. She really doesnt need to do anything for the money to come in. The mere fact that Steve is dead and so prematurely is enough for that. It is a great place to visit (Australia Zoo) and well worth every cent, have you been there?

Remember the Bear man who felt he had a special relationship with Grizzly Bears of Alaska. He was eaten (he just made close up videos no wrestling) and was generally regarded as an introverted sad individual with mental problems. In short irrational.
By contrast gregarious Steve, who can talk to the animals and has a special relationship with Taipans et al is a national hero. How about irresponsible to carry on that way with two young children? What about Work Cover, where were the risk assessments? Try this for another perspective. http://www.westender.com.au/stories.php?s_id=332 Posted by Cowboy Joe, Wednesday, 11 October 2006 6:14:26 PM
