'This is a tragic loss': Sydney light rail construction 'destroys' heritage site.
http://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/this-is-a-tragic-loss-sydney-light-rail-construction-destroyed-heritage-site-20190322-p516qk.html

What was destroyed was what appears to have been a site where local Aborigines made flint tools from flint imported as ships ballast.

Did the site really have enough historical importance to stop the trams in their tracks?

NO but it had enough to give a journalist something to rant about
EG headline story trying to relive the ball tampering thing all over again
News is often manufactured not reported

A little too localised for general comment, Is Mise. I can't see non-New South Welshmen being very interested in a few aboriginal bits and pieces, particularly as you people seem intent on ruining Sydney with mass sardine packing of alien cultures. NSW has slipped back since it moved from being a convict colony. Your newly elected premier was most excited after the election about being the first female with "long name" to get the job. Another multiculturalist interested in de-Anglosising our biggest city and tuning into into a new colony of disparate tribes.
