100 years old and not hurt anyone?
You've got to respect that! Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 10 March 2019 4:09:22 PM

Foxy,
As far as is known; a local policeman said it was probably too old and slow to catch humans. Posted by Is Mise, Sunday, 10 March 2019 6:21:47 PM

A mate of mine had a 4 m croc ram his dinghy & snap at the outboard motor for quarter of an hour. He didn't venture out in the dinghy for 4 years until the croc was captured.
Last year we visited several creeks along the coast north of Cooktown & we saw an average of one 4m croc every kilometre. There aren't enough crocodile farms to accommodate big crocs were they to be captured. One can only guess how many people got taken before it was realised that big estuarine crocs venture many kilometres upstream in freshwater creeks & before there was cattle & other introduced animals for the crocs to feed on. I saw a preview of "Ä Current Affair" coming up.
It's going to be about a womman who has three crocs as pets. Is that even possible? Posted by Foxy, Monday, 11 March 2019 8:48:22 AM

Foxy,
Depends on the size and the species, actually, I like crocks, a crocodile steak is good eating. Posted by Is Mise, Monday, 11 March 2019 9:19:14 AM

Is Mise,
They looked quite large in the previews. I think the show airs tonight on "A Current Affair." I believe that kangaroo meat is quite tasty as well and that croc meat tastes like chicken only more chewy. Posted by Foxy, Monday, 11 March 2019 9:30:31 AM

Is Mise,
Here's more on the crocodile woman who lives in Melbourne. And loves her pets very much: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/news/rockbank-woman-lives-with-more-than-20-reptiles-including-three-crocodiles/news-story/df98d220f261f843490b43b37963a337 You seriously have to wonder about some people. no mourning over 10000 slaughtered unborn babies. We have become largely ignorant society with very misplaced 'compassion'.

runner,
Do try to stick to the topic - or start your own thread. Posted by Foxy, Tuesday, 12 March 2019 2:26:50 PM

Anyone that believes that a 4m croc is too slow to take a human is seriously kidding themselves and that a woman has "tamed" them is a delusion that will be quickly resolved when the animals get big enough to challenge her for dominance.
Today's crocodile lover is tomorrow's crocodile poo. Posted by Shadow Minister, Wednesday, 13 March 2019 8:06:11 AM

runner,
please provide your TFN so your contribution to keep all these unwanted foetuses & then look after them when they're born, can be deducted from your pay. Posted by individual, Wednesday, 13 March 2019 2:41:56 PM

Age, not size!! Posted by Is Mise, Wednesday, 13 March 2019 6:11:23 PM

IM,
A croc that size needs a lot of food to keep going. Either he was fast enough to kill a lot of fish/animals or he had become vegan. A swimmer in the river would have been toast if he was hungry. That he was 100 years old and had never hurt anyone is pure speculation. Posted by Shadow Minister, Thursday, 14 March 2019 4:44:16 AM
