Power has been seized by unelected, tax-funded bureaucrats,
ttbn,
What I'd like to know who the people are that sign off on those funds. What are their ranks, positions & who are they answerable to ?
Who gives them the authority to sign off ? Isn't there some board to keep a lid on the indiscriminate spending ? Which Minister is responsible for all of them ?
The misuse of public funding has become way too regular a practise & must not be tolerated any longer.
Many decent people are getting the short end of the stick by these useless & incompetent bureaudroids whilst they cater only for their own interests.
I don't think it'd be too early to impose serious charges on them. They're ruining our economy &
peoples' lives.

hahahaha
It is not faceless bureaucrats it is venal big business and the filthy rich who direct and own our politicians.
How many reports and plans and recommendations, put forward by public servants, have our leaders ignored and dismissed while they give everything their big business mates ask for without a seconds hesitation.
You lot may be blind but the rest of us can see it all too clearly.
ICAC NOW!

SteeleRedux It was posted as a minimum outlook on things happening, I personally do not know who pulls the strings of our politicians.

Remember politicians in the parties are told how to vote.

A lot do not even read the legislation, they just vote how they are told too.

bureaucrats and others are the real power, people who can't be kicked out at the next election.

Quote "So all of the 700 members of the House of Lords of which she is a part are appointed rather than elected."

** Members of the House of Lords are appointed by the Queen on the advice of the prime minister. Some non-party-political members are recommended by an independent body, the House of Lords Appointments Commission. ** British citizen do not elect them.

** Curious to see what info comes out here, we both may learn some new things. **

Give me an industrialist who gets rich by providing jobs any day over an overpaid bureaudroid who does not share his wealth by way of providing jobs.

individual Quote "bureaudroid who does not share his wealth by way of providing jobs."

Bureaucrats do supply jobs lots of them but the salary comes from taxpayers, the more people a bureaucrat controls the higher they consider their status within the public service.
