Use The Shutdown To Weed Out The Bludgers

There is a media rumour that President Trump is about to compromise on the shutdown. Perhaps he should wait a while longer.

An American publication, 'The Daily Caller', has published and essay by a senior official of the Trump administration (a public servant working without pay because of the shutdown) who hopes a long shutdown “smokes out the resistance”. He would advise President Trump with regard to government agencies to “look the doors, sell the furniture, and cut them down”, for the sake of America.

The “lapse” in appropriations is an opportunity to strip wasteful government agencies for good. Eighty percent of government employees don't produce results. If they don't feel like doing what they are told, they don't do it. Like here in Australia, they can't be sacked. “They avoid attention, plan their weekend, their second job, and their next position. All 'process' without useful results.

The nature of a big administration is to grow to serve itself. That would be familiar to any Australian who has ever been a public servant.

The people who are prepared to keep working, despite not being paid, do not want those who are not to return; things are running better without them. Trump has created more private sector jobs than the 'furloughed' federal workforce could ever fill if they want a proper job.

Just like Australians, most Americans would not miss non-essential government functions. They certainly would not miss having to pay for them.

The idiotic Democrats have been rabbiting on about impeachment for the two years Trump has been president. Squealing 'impeachment' has proven to be as effective as yelling 'wolf'.

The very clever Donald Trump has made the Democrats look even more petulantly childish by offering a compromise to stop the shutdown. He offered, they refused. They look like the pig-headed blockheads; Trump is the peacemaker.

Democrats are waiting for Donald Trump to blink, because that’s what Presidents have usually done in shutdowns in the past. However, the non-politician is not interest in the traditional political rules and constipation, and the uncompromising political hacks might be in for a surprise. Trump doesn't have to worry about what the biased media says about the situation; if he backed down tomorrow, they would continue to rubbish him as they have for two years. He doesn't have to even bother about being re-elected: he doesn't need the job, and he can do a lot in the next two years before Americans regress to another Obama, which is what the Democrats want in their socialist haze.

Voters saw the Democrats as the enemies of America, so they elected Trump. They have been proved right.

Some of the reporter questions being asked before the shut-down -

"What about rumours that your son is to be indicted?"
"What about General Mattis saying you're bad at your job?"
"What about the proven fraud at the Trump Foundation?"
"Why did you claim you knew nothing about a payment to Stormy Daniels?
"What about the your proven personal tax-fraud?"
"What about your lies about the Moscow Trump Tower?"
"What about Mueller flipping every criminal you know?"
"What about instructing Cohen to lie?"

After the shut-down
"What about the shut-down?"

How naive must some people be not to recognise Trump for the inept criminal idiot he really is - probably still obsessed with Pizzagate and Hillary's alleged involvement in the murder, sexual assault and cannibalism of kidnapped children.

A reassuring lie must be better than an uncomfortable truth.

Dance monkeys, dance.

President Trump is to pause the shutdown for three weeks to February 15 to enable federal workers to receive their back pay. In that time he expects cooperation with on 'the wall', advising that it will work as well as Israel's wall, which is "99.9% effective".
