In Sri Lanka recently, Mark Latham was asked by a local business man why Australians send diplomats overseas to attack their own country. The so-called 'ambassador for women and girls’, Sharman Stone, had generated a headline while in that country that shrieked: “Top levels of industry, government stubbornly male: Australian Ambassador for Women and Girls”. Thanks, Ms. Stone, an ex-Liberal nonentity, who apparently hasn't heard of such women as the premiers of NSW and QLD, plus the oodles of Australian women in politics and business. Not to mention her own time in federal politics up to 2016. Oh, and Julia Gillard, of course. And, Stone has one of the jobs-for-the-girls courtesy of another woman - Julie Bishop.

Stone continued to bag Australia by claiming that, while “Girls are forging ahead at school, including at the tertiary level …. for many women success in education does not necessarily translate into employment.”

The same applies to males whose tertiary education is not fit for purpose. Apart from that, there more men unemployed and living on welfare than there are women; more female than male lawyers, GP doctors, vets, office managers, teachers and public servants.

Latham, like we all should, objects to Australians going overseas to attack and misrepresent our country. And Stone has been overseas 33 times in the last two years. (Source: 'The Spectator’).

So. Nobody cares that an over-privileged ex-MP, already on a massive pension at our expense, is adding to her income and enjoying world travel, again at our expense. No wonder Australia is going down the gurgler when the people footing the bill, us, are not interested. Not even a Lefty wanting to take the opportunity to have a go at a conservative politician?

I'm with you on this but somejow my post didn't make it through. i referred to educated people getting into those positions by way of academic nepotism. This of course translates directly into the uselessness & incompetence of these self-haters at everyone else's expense.

Yes. Stone is on the pig's back. Large income for doing very little. Large pension, and a job handed out by Julie Bishop. No wonder the politicians don't want a RC into federal corruption. Plus the criticising of her own country, which really is unforgivable.
