President Donald Trump plans to use an executive order to end birthright citizenship, a practice that extends citizenship to children born in the US, even if they're born of unauthorised immigrants. In an interview with Axios published on Tuesday morning, Trump called the practice of giving citizenship to all children born in the US "ridiculous" and announced his plans to sign an executive order banning it. But Trump's executive orders on immigration have been met with heavy legal challenges before, and the US constitution states: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States." Further, the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA) of 1952, the basic body of US immigration law, also says that a "person born in the United States who is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States is a U.S. citizen at birth." ** I can see why he wants to do it ** The Center for Immigration Studies, which favours lower immigration to the US, credits "297,000 births per year to illegal immigrants" in 2015. Why would an activist say this against his activism? : An “activist” .. children suffering “resignation syndrome” were perfectly well “barely a month” before hysterical demands from Left activists to bring them to Australia. His only “role” in my post was his remarks that these 'sick’ kids had been perfectly well less than a month previously. I don't know anything about the person; have never heard of him; couldn't care less about him. My post was based on an article by Tanveer Ahmed, a remarkably sensible bloke for a Muslim, who sees through the bullshite that his fellow religionists come up with. He is a psychiatrist and civilised man. Your comment indicates that you have the cognitive qualities of a brick wall, or you are being deliberately obtuse. I've had it with unnecessary carping and questioning from people who like irritating others for pleasure. From now on, I will not be taking pointless, irritating questions from the Left wankerati. If he's an activist then saying the kids were well is arguing against his activist opinion from 2014 /2015. So being "activist" is incorrect or reporting what he said is incorrect. Your own words don't make sense.

Seven families have now been moved from Nauru to Adelaide. So much for boat arrivals NEVER being brought to Australia. So much for the Liberal government.

Hundreds of refugees have been quietly resettled in Australia including 132 in just the last two weeks, according to a refugee advocates.
The unnamed group told 7 News that 700 refugees had been relocated to Australia.
It comes as Labor increases its calls for all children on Nauru to be removed.
Recently, the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) put pressure on the government to stop 'playing politics with children's lives' and to bring the children on Nauru and their families into Australia.
RCOA spokesman Kelly Nicholls said the organisation is relieved that politicians on all sides have recognised the remaining children need to get off Nauru.
'Doctors have repeatedly said that the situation for children on Nauru is critical. This is a humanitarian emergency and children's lives must not be left in limbo whilst political bargaining continues in Canberra,' Ms Nicholls said.
