I watched the National Apology to victims of sexual
abuse by both the Prime Minister and the Leader of
the Opposition in Parliament House this morning. Both
men made very powerful speeches - and hopefully these
will be followed by action to ensure that things like
that don't happen again to future generations in this
country.

You emphasis and concerns of what's happening in the
UK and elsewhere overseas is commendable, but perhaps
you should be more concerned about what's happening
right under our very noses to children - in our
churches, schools, sporting clubs, homes, and elsewhere.
And it's been happening for decades - ignored by us.

Yes few of us can say they swam in the dam Ebony was drowned in.
If I had one wish it would be to go way back to that child I was then and tell my self to not waste the first half of my life.
Why we do not hang such as them is hard to work out, even more so when we see them released.
More focus on the act not the faith or nationality would be good

Why does the hard right go bananas over this storm in a teacup ? Out of Britain's sixty million population, barely twenty men have now been found guilty in this particular case of fifteen hundred girls abducted, raped and dumped. At last they're all still alive: not one was killed - has anybody taken that into consideration ?

And yes, the majority of men found guilty of pedophilia in Britain have not been Pakistani: Pakistani men make up, maybe, five cent of all men in Britain. So, no, not all pedophiles there are Pakistani. And anyway, look what the British did in India and Pakistan for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. So there.
