My views on this subject are so very different than some here.
Truly honestly think man made climate change is a fact.
Condemn me for that
But know true science agrees with me,climate change was never just about increasing heat, it we are told is about change.
We can find answers/rubbery facts, to support our bias but can we ignore science?
Can we bring ourselves to believe a very big and powerful group is behind the science and that it is lying to us.

Belly mate, this is NASA, the home of the warmists, not some realists trying to counter the scam.

They are obviously realising what the future holds, they can see the cold coming & are trying to back away from their folly as quickly as they can, without admitting it was all bulldust.

Hell even Germany, the poster boy for alternate power, is building new coal fired power stations at a serious rate. They are leading the rest of the EU in the retreat from their crazy global warming fiasco.

You have to open your eyes mate, & stop being a chump, conned by the warmists, & their twisted so called science. Until people like you wake up, our ratbag politicians will able to continue wasting our money on windmills & solar panels. We are the last country still following the UNs plan. Our idiots still want to follow the Paris tomfoolery, the last nation doing more than pay lip service to it.

Get off the ABC, & do some reading other than your lefty sights. You are smart enough to see the truth, if you will just look at it for once. Yes it's is hard for you to accept your lot have been lying to you big time for years, but it is best to do it now, rather than when the icicles hanging off your chin give you no choice.

The year 2017 finished out with an annually averaged sea ice volume that was the lowest on record with 12,900 km 3 , below 2012 for which the annually averaged volume was 13,500 km3 . This was even though extent and sea ice thickness were at record lows during the early months of 2017 but anomalousy little melt for the recent years (Fig 8), brought the ice volume back above record levels.

Average Arctic sea ice volume in August 2018 was 6200 km3. This value is the 6th lowest on record about 1200 km3 above the August record that was set in 2012 with ~5,000 km3 . Ice volume was 66% below the maximum in 1979 and 50% below the mean value for 1979-2017. August 2018 ice volume falls just a notch above the long term trend line.

Ice thickness anomalies anomalies 2018 relative to 2011-2017 (Fig 6) continue what previous months showed with positive anomalies in the East Siberian Sea. Positive thickness anomalies also developed in the Eastern Beaufort. The Atlantic side of the Arctic features thinner than normal, relative to 2011-2017, ice thickness. Ice thickness is again anomalous north of Greenland where a large Polynya had opened up during the second half of February due to strong off shore motion (Fig 7) of sea ice brought about by unusual wind patterns. This area reopened during August.

Is that why even the ice breakers couldn't get through the north west passage this year Nick?

Yes that's what it says . Thicker in one place and thinner in another. Each year not identical . Up . Down.
