Sounds like an easy way to scare the economic invaders to go home, next step would be to send out military service draft notices.

They are obviously very concerned about the deep ties between the Trump administration and the Russians. Putin was quite worried about Hilary getting elected but now he has his lapdog performing for him countries like Sweden are preparing for more aggression. The methods the Obama administration had used to curb the Russians have all disappeared under Trump. This is the result.

Steele,

Are you trying to usurp Paul's position as resident humourist?

Dear Is Mise,

Happy for you to contest any part of my previous post. In fact you could have done that if you were able, but you weren't, so you had a little dig instead.

Dear Is Mise,

I am always rather chipper after reading another of your well thought out responses. The rest of us stand in awe of your penmanship. Not for you is the nasty habit of throwing up a link with half a dozen words and thinking that it constitutes an argument which some here do.

Keep up the good work old salt.

Is Mise,

SteeleReflux clearly hasn't heard of Keep It Simple Stupid, or KISS. In his ignorance, he thinks that the more words used, the better the argument. To the contrary, verbosity is boring, and any argument there night be is missed - supposing that the target of the twaddle is even still awake looking for an argument.

Feel a bit sorry for Steely Is Mise, it must be hard to watch Trump turn every post he passes into a winning post. The ratbag left have to keep sniping if only to stop their crying for a moment.

Hi HasBeen,

Not sure what planet you're on: what has Trump won so far ? He's pissing on NATO and trying to stand over the EU, and kissing Putin's arse: if I were European, I would be worried, so I think that Steele is probably right about Sweden, and other countries, Poland and the Baltics especially.

For good measure, Trump is not only alienating the Europeans, but contributing to the coming war between Sunnis and Shi'ites across the Middle East, AND getting ready to chuck a tanty over not getting his way over North Korea, AND pissing off all of Latin America with his imbecilic immigration policies, AND Canada over trade policy, all at once. Keeping all your balls in the air always takes some doing, but to try it with the blindfold of wilfulness seems a tad rash.

But let's be honest - watching Trump, and wondering what klutzy stunt he'll try next, is more fun than the best circus, ever.

Joe

Yes. Trump's going gangbusters. The Left, including media, are really hating that he has done everything he said he would. Politicians aren't supposed to keep their promises.

SR makes a series of unsuppprted assertions and then demands that others disprove his unsupported claims. Oh dear!.

" the deep ties between the Trump administration and the Russians"

Only the truly fact-averse partisan would be able to make that claim with a straight face. After two years of searching, Mueller and the rest of the deep state haven't found a skerrick of evidence that there are any ties. But if you want it to be true, for some it is, facts be damned.

Meanwhile, in the real world....Sweden has remained outside NATO while retaining ties to it, in the sure and certain knowledge that NATO (ie the US) would rescue them in the event of Russian over-reach. But like most NATO countries they have heard loud and clear Trump's demand that they at least try to pull their weight in their own defence rather than relying on the good graces of the US. While moaning about having to do so most NATO nations are increasing their defence spending. This small move by Sweden is in the same vein.
