Peter Smith, writing in Quadrant on 22nd June, believes that we are “stuck” with Muslim immigration, and that the superiority of Western culture cannot be “actively promoted”.

Smith points to the sharp growth of Muslim populations in the West, and the decline of Christian populations in Muslim countries. Islamism is growing in places like Turkey and South East Asia. Christian doctrine is becoming “flimsier” against Islam.

Smith believes that Christianity is a “pale imitation” of it's former self. No foil to Islam.

While the threat of Islamic dominance can be recognised, it is harder to combat in tolerant societies like ours, where political correctness thrives, and victimhood is claimed “at the drop of a hat”.

Smith believes that Muslim immigration cannot be stopped, and financial support for Islamic institutions can't be withdrawn; nor can the superiority of Western culture and institutions be actively promoted.

He doesn't say why, but certainly this seems to be the case currently.

The author, however, seems strangely concerned that we can't provide a “safe, supportive and encouraging environment” to Muslims who have come here to escape from their “intolerant and violence-provoking creed”.

This is where he loses me. Is it our job to protect immigrants from their own system, rather than protect ourselves from something the immigrants have brought here with them? There is only one Islam, and immigration is the main way of spreading it these days.

He is right just look at the number of appeasing decisions made over the last year or so.
No nativity displays
No Easter egg hunts for children
Christmas holiday celebrations changed or cancelled
There have been lots more all changed so as not to offend Muslims.

I say Muslims because they were the only ones to complain.

It could and should be stopped, there really is no need as most end up going back to the sad hellholes they ran away from for the holidays and/or to find their 10yr old daughters a husband, the powers that be know this yet still swallow the bull.

Nothing ever changes with them, so there has to be another reason why they're heading to western countries because it certainly isn't for a change of lifestyle.

Should be stopped. Could be stopped. Yes. But that can happen only if we get a better class of politician, not too stupid to realise what damage multiculturalism and mass immigration has done to this country

In his fascinating book "The Closing of the American Mind" writer Allan Bloom coined the term "openness to closeness". Appeasement of Islam is just that. Opposing appeasement of Islam in derided as "bigotry" by appeasers hoping that we'll forget that Islam is bigotry on steroids, as their version of Hitler's Mein Kampf, the Koran, spells out in words of one syllable.

The real danger of openness to closedness is that it is a one way tap in which our traditional tolerance as a society is drained away until intolerance reigns supreme.

We need a pledge for ALL entrants to Australia that they fully respect the right to dissent, in whatever terms, from any cult - and that being found to disregard the pledge means immediate transport back to Mozzieland accompanied by a bill for the fare.

Regressive dogma is as putried as Islamic terrorism hence no real action. The socialist have achieved destroying the natural family.
