Bad decisions

Our present situation world wide is a result of a stolen election years ago.
One wonders, if the presidency had not been stolen by W Bush and Al Gore had taken over, if the parallel world would have been a much better place.
There would not have been an invasion of Afghanistan on the pretext of dealing with Osama Bin Laden and the later invasion of Iraq on an equally trumped up excuse.
This was the start of the tremendous upheaval in the whole of the Middle East and the fighting that continues to this day.
The infamous trio of Bush, Blair and Howard have caused more death and destruction than Hitler and Mussolini managed in their short reign.
The deniers would not have come out of the woodwork and forced their short sighted opinions on the world.
By now we could have been on track to curb global warming saving even more death and destruction.
This stolen election was the turning point for world to take a wrong turn.
The only other bad decision that has caused such calamity was the Thatcher Reagan introduced globalisation that is also still allowing the neo-conservatives to inflict their ideas on a reeling world.

Yep they have made some bad ones, but they got lucky this time.

Just imagine if they had put that war mongering bribe taking criminal Hillary in. They would have the lights going out every where, just like South Australia.

Al Gore please. A man who made millions out of scaring people with fiction. This man and his followers are totally deluded.

Because Al made money from it doesn't mean he is wrong.
I guess we will find out in the years to come and we will see who full of deluded.
I also can't help but think that the deniers will be keeping a VERY low profile, sort of like Nazi prison guards.
The truth always has a habit of coming out . . .

I think Gore's America would still have invaded Afghanistan. The difference is that without the distraction of the Iraq war resulting in troops being prematurely pulled out of Afghanistan, there would've been a decisive victory.

And globalisation's not to blame for the rise of the neocons.

Aiden; *
Why would Gore have invaded Afghanistan?
He would not have wanted to run a pipeline across it.
No one is ever going to win in Afghanistan.

And globalisation's not to blame for the rise of the neocons.*
I think you have back to front.... the Neocons were responsible for globalisation.

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

The pinnacle of corruption in America is the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court stopped the vote count in the key state of Florida where George W Bush's vote was floundering. This led to a Bush-Cheney administration and in turn to the lie campaign that accompanied the war criminals Howard, Bush and Blair in their aggression against the sovereign state of Iraq.

Al Gore might well have invaded Afghanistan which was harbouring those believed to be behind the destruction the World Trade Centre on September 11 2001 but the invasion of Iraq was Dick Chaney's project with the idiot Bush in tow.
