Makes one wonder; about $80 for suitable ammunition and the 145 'roos could have been permanently neutered.

The contraceptive is GonaCon . good name. The roos are in effect dead for breeding and have 2 people shooting each one. Canberra funded research into a surfboard for women. It all wins votes and polls so is definitely worth every $.

This is the cheapest way to solve the problem, whether you're willing to accept that or not.

We'll use the perspective of young Australians working at McDonalds.

How much does a full time worker earn a year?
Maybe $30,000? and pays maybe $5000yr in income tax; maybe?
That's 120 workers working full time for a year to pay for your $600,000 program for 145 kangaroo's.

Are you prepared to go to these young working adults and explain to them why these kangaroos were the reason why they each had to have their pay packets garnished of $5000 during the year, money they could've saved towards a house deposit?
Will they agree with you the governments need was justified?

If they don't, then this program does not pass the sniff test.
