SM,
Merkel never cared about the concerned citizens in the first place.
None of the politicians do.
This is the trend we see in politics.

They get our votes and give the impression of democracy, but thats as far as it goes.
After that they do the bidding of the elites and the 'global' establishment.
They talk about national interests, but they fight for globalist interests instead, and sell the nation out.
They screw the people over but it doesnt matter, they did the job they were supposed to do.
We all end up thinking they're scum, but they still walk around with a smile on their faces because they did the exact job they were supposed to do which was to sell us out.
They go out the back door and a new Judas-goat comes to take on the top job for another round of 'screw the people over' democracy like a well oiled machine.

Its all a complete sham.
A con-job.
A stich-up.

We think we have two main parties who have opposing viewpoints and policies.
The trick is for the main parties to mostly the same policies of the elites, (such as foreign policies, and trade) while having the people argue amongst themselves over the policies and viewpoints that don't really matter.

AC,

Now I'm really confused. I didn't raise the issue of the Jews: they had nothing to do with my post about Merkel and her open border policies. It was rache, apropos of nothing, who introduced the Jews and then proceeded to accuse them of things that they have never been or done. As I suggested, she is confusing Jews with Muslims.

I'm well aware of the discrimination against Jews down the ages, well before and after Hitler (who also played no part in my post) raised his ugly head. Jews were banned from Britain for 200 years during the Middle Ages. Australia refused to take in Jews post war. It was only relevantly recently the Jews were admitted to the Melbourne Club and other highbrow edifices. Jews, even now, are the butt of jokes and hatred, by ordinary people as well as anti-Semites, Israel haters and, most of all, Muslims who want to kill them. All of which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY ORIGINAL POST , which concerned the traitorous Frau Merkel's flooding of Germany with illegal Muslims. It never ceases to amaze me how many times some posters turn a subject totally off course to suit their own, often unfathomable, aims.

For the record, I am pro-Isreal.

BTW, did you know that the Merkel publicly stated in 2014 that MULTICULTURALISM IS A FAILURE.? There is probably a psychiatric description for someond who makes that statement, then proceeds to make Germany even more absurdly multicultural than it already is.

Hey ttbn,
Yes it was rache that first mentioned it.
My first response didn't have anything to do with Jews either, other than using the 'badge' analogy to try to convey that Merkel is alienating her own people.

I know you're Pro-Israel and that's fine.
Your entitled to have an opinion and position like anyone else.
I agree with most of the things you say regarding Australia.

I'm not necessarily against Jewish people themselves.
But I am against all this New World Order globalism bs.
I see it as being just as bad is Islam in its own way.

And you have Soros - A Rothschild frontman pushing these open border / regime change agendas; and other Jews having a good deal of influence over other countries politics creating the bipartisan support for foreign policy so how am I supposed to reconcile all that?

G'day again, AC,

I am against globalising too. Another good topic. Funny you should mention Soros: I read an article about him just last night. What Marxist plots he isn't backing are not worth mentioning.

//Hitler had good reasons to want the Jews gone.//

Jesus, really?

Hitler wanted the Jews gone because he was a murderous, unstable, kunt. None of those constitute good reasons. The fact that you think they do says an awful lot about you.

//Merkel doesn't have any reason at all the Germans could support to justify why she let all the immigrants in.//

Merkel is a Lutheran, which is a denomination of Christianity. Have you ever read Matthew 25:34-45? I suggest you google, have a read, and then reflect for a few minutes on why somebody belonging to the Christian faith (like Merkel) might consider it their moral duty to treat refugees compassionately.

I'm not saying it's a good reason, since Germany is a secular nation and religion shouldn't influence public policy. But it is a reason. Maybe she just thinks a society based on compassion is better than the alternative, where life is likely to be nasty, brutish and short.

//Most of the so-called Aussies that oppose her are people that identify as immigrants.
The rest are just useful idiots trying to be PC who've been brainwashed by the TV.//

You do take an unnecessarily narrow view of the world don't you AC. What's up with that?

I see that you haven't considered the useful idiots who spend more time in a week listening to non-political, British podcasts like 'No Such Thing As A Fish', 'The Museum of Curiosity' and 'The Infinite Monkey Cage' than they do watching Australian television, and good deal more time than either reading, and still regard Pauline as an unpleasant little toad who only appeals to similarly unpleasant toads (who are thankfully few and far between).

//Out of curiousity, are you male or female? Not that it really matters.
I've heard you talk about going to scouts in your youth before, but the spelling of your name is the female version of Tony.
As in Tonita.//

1) The Scouts admit females. I don't know where you got the impression they didn't. Admittedly, the gender ratios in my Cub pack and Scout Troops were heavily male-skewed, but my Venturer Unit was fairly close to parity.
2) Tony is generally an abbreviation of Anthony. But if your name was Antonio, wouldn't it make sense to abbreviate it as Toni?
3) On my home we are capable of assuming different sexes by adopting specific diets. And there are six different sexes. It's complicated; you Earth folk wouldn't get it. I'm not really human you see; I'm an intergalactic environmental protection officer assigned to your world to save your species from being wiped out by the marauding Reptilians. Something which you all seem remarkably blase about, except for that cannny Icke fella.
