Went to an AFL match for the first time in many years. I could not help but thinking that whichever marketing company has the Specsavers account is missing a trick. The umpires are sponsored by OPSM.But judging by the blunders the crowd thought they made it seems that they should have gone to specsavers.
Were I still working in marketing I would have created an ad which simply showed some footage of umpiring decisions with the crowd shout as with one voice 'Should have gone to specsavers" ten to one that would go viral and you would successfully have hijacked your competitor's promotion.

Not sure about AFL, I don't follow the game, but as for the NRL, with their new 'bunker' of video refs I still think they have a chocolate wheel out the back that they use because no one could get it so wrong like these guys often do.

And of cause our refs (as they known) seem too scared to make a decision these days for fear of retribution. Instead sending the majority of trys up for review, slowing the game down.

And of cause, being untouchable and free from media scrutiny as any such scrutiny comes with the threat of hefty fines of $10K or more.
