Ar Paul, if memory serves me correctly, Gillard knifed Rudd in the back, after lying to him just the night before and Gillard only left when writhing was more than on the door so as to speak.

As for Howard, try to imagine where we would be today, had Rudd inherited the mess Abbott did. Besides, the unions were then ones who cost Howard, and ultimately led to the Kevin 07 gamble, and boy what a gamble that proved to be.
