How long has Australia been multi cultural. We were multi cultural during the gold rush and before. And each different culture has bought its problems, right from day one. So where is the difference now.

Terrorism is an act of aggression, So is Domestic Violence, Road deaths that no one takes any notice of. Is that the worry or is it something else.

Terrorism is a state of mind, that was being actively entrenched by Abbott. To keep fear high on the list of priorities, for his future elections which were going to run into the next century.

Terrorism fades into small scale when it comes to other ways of becoming dead. A political exercise that worked. A problem best left to our law men, and our politicians are best serving the lawmen with the tools to combat this problem. Abbott’s idea was never going to work, that was a set up for simple minds, and it worked. Abbott had a host of solutions that were never going to work in practice.

Now we will try liaison instead of confrontation, well worth a go. These mobs of Muslims have been persecuted, like no other race currently living in Australia. All because of fear-mongering, by pollititions.

Our political landscape has now been refined, a fresh start is afoot to curtail extremist activity and bring about moderate change in the way we handle a cultural indifference by education.

These people do not know what Australia is like before they get here, all they know is what they left behind. Australia has failed to give the right assistance to these people, and allowed them to find their own way which is not ok

All the previous immigrant groups were of various religions and a few
different races. However they slotted in without terrorism, built
their own temples, churches etc and their children were quite okker.

However Islam is different it is a combined religious political movement
that commands its followers to not mix with infidels and indeed kill
them when the opportunity arises.
Now, they all do not take that literally, but it only takes a few
and the rest will say nothing and just go along with it.
If they do speak out they risk one of the fanatics beating them or worse.
If they will kill a random accountant walking out of an office block
what would they do to one of their own denouncing them ?

You're obviously not of Irish descent, I well remember the attacks on the Irish, both Irish born and those born locally.
The vicious rumours about a fifth column in Australia, guns hidden in the vaults of St Mary' Cathedral, the anti Catholic sentiments, the "No Catholic Need Apply" or "Protestants Only" in job adverts; all this whilst Irish-Australian Catholics were fighting in WWII.
Some older posters/readers may remember "The Rock" newspaper that circulated in NSW, today the Editor and reporters would be behind bars.
