QUOTE:
[a hero to many in Medellín; he was a natural at public relations and he worked to create goodwill among Colombia's poor. A lifelong sports fan, he was credited with building football stadiums and sponsoring little league football teams in the city. Pablo Escobar was also responsible for the construction of many churches in Medillin gaining popularity inside the local Roman Catholic Church.

Let's look at the life of this amazing humanitarian, and see what lessons there are to be learned.
1/ GENEROUS, he donated much of his wealth for the benefit of the poor.
2/ DEEPLY SPIRITUAL... he gained popularity among the Roman Catholic Church, and even built Churches.
3/ FAMILY MAN. He was married, had children.
4/ SUPERB BUSINESS MANAGER. It is said he was one of the richest men in the world. Clearly he reached this position by being astute, alert and hard working. A great example.
5/ PROTECTOR OF THE POOR. His business activities created much evil jealousy among others. Some of them even tried to kill this great man. Fortunately, he had a good intelligence network, and managed to find and execute them before they could carry out their horrible plans (Totally justified as well)
6/ VALIANT WARRIOR. There were other enemies. While he was diligently building up his own community of the faithful, outsiders, who sought to destroy his emerging and blessed community tried to attack him (CIA,police, judiciary, navy seals). But he, along with his well trained companions, managed to defeat them, obviously with God's blessing and help.
7/ MORAL REFORMER. One of his greatest contributions to mankind, is his demonstration that age does not matter in love, he held parties with many young girls and his wife and concubine were quite happy about this.
His lasting legacy is seen in the many buildings, churches, sports stadium etc around Medayin which bear his mark.
This man was described by some of the poor as 'The best of all mankind'
and.. who are we to argue?
