Young children are often going to bed around 8.30 PM. From the time children come home from school to 8.30 PM bed time, television consists of:
Daily news reporting a variety of: crime; political competitive bitching; curing cancer science, looking after population propaganda.
Fast talking Competitive: home renovation complaining spouses; judgemental cooking programs; judgemental variety song and dance programs.
Fast talking, criticising each other argumentative family/relationship dramas.
Fast moving competitive aggressive grabbing each other contact sports.
Prime time television competitive grandstanding is not my idea of pre-teenager child “role model” behavioural learning.
Children up to the age of attending high school are learning how to behave from their visual and hearing senses. Television could be a leading cause of parents and children competitive argumentative behaviours. Not very intelligent bored brains, having poor control over their angry emotions, can be prompted to start arguments. Television's remembered dramas of argumentative verbal replying, actors seen not wanting to lose competitive arguments, drama acting performances may end without violence. In real life, with the aid of different media prompting, family arguments may result in physical violence.
Once children attend high school, increased punishing' education mental stress and an inability for teenagers to influence their environment have many teenagers frustrated, argumentative and angry. Childhood/teenager learnt behaviours becoming adult learnt behaviours for adult's entire lives.
A question could be asked: is so much competitive, argumentative, fast talking grandstanding television scripted and produced to cause domestic violence in order to maintain a “less loving relationship” low birth rate increasing population, to allow increasing immigration from increased birth rate over populated countries?
Are aboriginal land rights media discussions no more than propaganda, redirecting ideas that people already living in Australia have a say or at least are being considered in immigration policy?
