It is a petulant threat designed to sow fear among backbenchers.
It is basically rabbott saying if you move against me again I will sink the whole party for good.
Disgusting behavior totally unworthy of a Prime Minister but exactly what you would expect from a grub like abbott.

I am a pensioner that has had three quite major operations in the last two years and have not suffered any disadvantage under this government. I imagine the hype over this government is just fear mongering by the opposition.

Josephus, would you have suffered any disadvantage if this government had been able to get their original legislation through the Senate?

Paul,

The only person delusional about a DD election is yourself. There has never been any serious discussion about DD. In fact the only "report" was a Fairfax journalist quoting a minister saying that it had been a topic at a private dinner.

"A minister who was present at the discussion over a private dinner on Monday night said that the idea was talked about but "not under serious contemplation". "

When will the left whingers stop taking every work out of Abbott's mouth and conflating it to a point of idiocy?

"So Paul1405, that means that the NSW 'Watermelon' Greens who have just entered into preference deals with Labour in NSW, would have to renegotiate new deals with Labour federally and with the Greens nationally as well?"

And is it not true that the LNP actually stands for "a coalition between the national party and the Liberal party"?
What is so bad about a coalition between Labour and the Greens, if it is OK for the LNP?

RLP,

There is nothing wrong with a coalition. The Liberals and the nationals formed a coalition because their interests and objectives are closely aligned, and minor differences are easily accommodated.

Labor and the Greens are a different matter altogether. Most of the far left Greens policies would be electoral suicide for labor and vice versa. Every labor green coalition government has been a disaster for Labor at the following elections in spite of highly publicised "splits" in the weeks before, as can be seen by labor's plunge to 25% primary vote after the implementation of the disastrous carbon tax, and the wipe out in Tasmania.

I would love to see Labor and the Greens openly admit to forming a coalition instead of their secret behind doors deals.
