Mini-Me and the Rabbott where caught having a cigar, at least I think they were cigars.

With a real possibility of a hanging in Queensland, perhaps from the chaos, will come order and a fairer society that is more equitable and sustainable.

Even with a hung parliament representation of the approximately 20% of non-represented voters will fall to a couple of members, this is wrong and undemocratic.

We are well overdue for proportional representation.

The critical thing we must resist at any cost, is letting the fairies escape from the bottom of the garden again, to infest government again.

Just a little look back at the chaos of Gillard & her green mates should ensure that, you would think, but the Queensland election leads to some doubt there.

The last 6 years of Beattie/Bligh were only slightly better than Gillard/green, but with the promise of a few bucks all is forgiven apparently.

It looks like it is every man for himself & to hell with the nation, so get your running shoes on folks, you are going to have to catch one of the gravy trains, or starve.

Has been

I see you haven’t changed your spots and still writing with your right hand and haven’t lost the eye patch either. You would be a bit of a bunny if you think that your partisan one eyed spruiking will earn you a knighthood.

It is people like you that perpetuate the ills of our political system. You have the inability to see that nobody has a monopoly on good ideas and believe there is only one way, your way.

The reality is we are all on the gravy chain in this lucky country as we are fortunate to be in the 20% that enjoys 80% of the global wealth.

The sad thing is that within this rich country the wealth is shared disproportionately. It is easier to take money as a lawyer than it is to make money as a dairy farmer. The balance is wrong!

Being as senior contributor to this forum, I wonder if you have ever tried the dish “Rabbott with gravy”. It would seem there is an increasing desire for it within your tribe.

hasbeen: sour grapes are a dish that is best eaten in isolation.
We do not really want to hear your whining about losing what was an "unlosable " election.
I realise that you have an all powering hate against anything that is not Liberal Nazi Party but there is life out here still.
You cannot treat people as serfs that are only there for the 1% to get even richer on and not have a backlash eventually.
Take heed to this tone.

Hasbeen,
I was not in Qld for the Beattie/Bligh era but am aware of the enormous debt that the Newman government had to deal with. I too fail to understand the thinking of the electorate. While the Premiers arrogance annoyed me, I understood that the financial situation was being addressed. Given their record, frankly I would not entrust Labor to buy bread and milk at the corner shop.

So, in view of the election result, it may be a good thing if Labor does obtain Government. We will then be able to judge them in 3 years time. Given that they have undertaken not to sell any assets, it will be interesting to see how they handle the states finances. Will they make any effort to reduce debt or just keep on increasing the debt.

Hopefully there will be sufficient time before the next Fed election to see how the state Labor parties perform. You can bet on increases in state taxes and charges.

I think you are wrong Banjo. The new labour will be like the old labour going deeper into debt because it is an "Emergency". Employ lots more public servants who vote labour and do not worry about next year never mind the future.
One point boys and girls the hated PPS was based on the Commonwealth Public Service award. So who put that in place and why was that OK but when it was suggested for the actual people who pay for it, it is a disgrace?
