well, I'm only pointing out that 20% of the worlds population are declaring 100% of their understanding of world history is 'the only history'...is this a whinge? nah..just how it is..

rainer, I don't understand your complaint.

Would you prefer the rants of the religious fundies who insist that everything is going down hill because the control their faiths have over our lives is diminishing? Would you prefer to step back in history to a point where far fewer western whites were willing to try to understand?

The original post may be written from a white perspective (I've not checked on the skin tones of the author) but is was a reminder to all of us of the progress we are making. I the light of all the naysaying done by some I found it a helpfull reminder.

Why the mocking approach? Do you have an "allegory of southern blackness" that is able to convey some of the good stuff?
