Prior to the election, one of Kevin Rudds reforms was the way in which a party leader could not be sacked, or a new leader elected.

Trouble is, they now face the very real prospect of fronting to parliament, if recalled (highly likely) without a front bench, or a leader, simply because there is a one month selection process to elect a leader.

Now wouldn't common sense suggest that, if there is a one month selection process, then there should also be a notice period for any outgoing leader to leave.

Furthermore, there should have been a contingency plan for exceptional circumstances, such as, the death of a leader, or any other circumstance that sees the leader resign immediately.

As I say, yet another example of labors incompetence, driven firmly by their leader, Kevin Rudd.

What does it really matter if they don’t have a leader for a little while?

Surely it is much more important to pick the right leader, who has the majority support of a wide base of the party, than one who is installed with minority support and hence more likely to be knifed before the next election

after the last 4 you would think they need as long as possible. Latham, Rudd, Gillard, Latham. Latham was probably the best of a very poor performing bunch.

They haven't enough insight to pick their noses let alone figure out how to manage the masses. Have a look at how Law & Order have gone down the tube under Labor, have a look how useless & incompetent the public service has become under Labor, have a look at how Labor turned essential services into nothing more than a career-mongers' market, have a look at how many millions have been utterly wasted by bureaucrats hiring consultants, the list is long. I'd say the longer the ALP stay in their holes the sooner Australia will get on track towards recovery.

Didn't someone say Mark Latham was insane, but then they said many leading lights of the 20th century were insane. Insanity has some very strange bed-mates. Unfortunately most of them are politicians.
