i ask..because 3 female family member's were tested..and put onto the named medication..and wonder how long this supplement..came to be so widespread so quickly
i reason they set the level..may be based on some arbitrary average..with maybe commercial motives..or maybe just as an easy response to the common complaint of tiredness.. do the test..and prescribe the dosage..[plus many more visits/,more tests]..higher lower doses ..a ll the while removing the needed iodine from our diet..[eg its refined out of our salt/flour] of course the 240%..increase isnt related to removing it or is it... im resuming removing it has a logical reason but then the numbers dont lie.. [once we take a supplement.. our thyroid gland will stop working..then what..get sick? how to talk to them..they trust modern medicine i dont..so just suck it up? Radioactive Iodine is one of the many pollutants released by the nuke industry over many decades. They don't go away. Iodine is readily absorbed by the Thyroid gland and this may be one of many causes.
Some are saying the Fukushima may be an extinction event. I hope not. Posted by Arjay, Monday, 29 July 2013 5:41:58 PM

Dear OUG,
Firstly Welcome Back. Glad to see you posting again. According to the New York Times the 87 percent increase is due to the introduction of new diagnostic technology. It was also noted that the increase was attributable to the diagnoses of small papillary thyroid cancers, many of which would never have caused any problem. It should also be made clear that 97 per cent of patients survive. Posted by Lexi, Monday, 29 July 2013 6:30:02 PM

thanks lexi..yes there is a high survivability
and the new detection tests.. [but sadly..i seem to recall much of the levels..for vitamin deficiency etc..were 'tested'..during ww2..by bayer corp..on unwilling test subjects [plus the initial complaint [tiredness]..persists] neve4r the less there comes the regular letter advising the next test followed by the new script..for a slightly lower dose..[along with the advice not to use the old ..higher dose rate] its just so black or white soon going..and never ending..so i worry re the damage this pill is doing..this expensive pill..that replaces..what never should hase been taken..out of our food. what next..detect thyroid damage..remove it then say..we saved your wifes life..[she just needs more ytests to keep her diss-ease..in check.. i suspect in the main women are being targeted..as the article..notes the increase of thyroid cancers..*in women.. so maybe men/women..have different levels i know we can only voice our opinions and concern..they arnt worried..so why should i [because i care..or because i know..or because i distrust profit driven medicine] noted while in hospital recently..EVERY bed has a large container..of handwash..[yet didnt see one being used]plus each handwash basin has two..next to the taps]..[this is in qld] it must be a great contract.. just to supply/fit..one to each bed.. plus each bed was expensive top of the line.. electric with all the wizz bang you beaut..bells and whistles. its as if were gold plating medicine and still..nurses are underpaid..and maybe we are over serviced anyhow..now i got it out...maybe .. or maybe not i really didnt expect the topic to get up just needed to vent..so..thanks lexi Posted by one under god, Monday, 29 July 2013 6:58:29 PM

Hi again one undergod, it is probably a good idea for you to look up hypothyroidism, by google.
You may find that the awful problems your female relatives may suffer if they don't take thyroxine as requested, would far outweigh any small chances of developing thyroid cancer. Sometimes, the dreaded medical profession can actually stop you and your loved ones from living with very distressing disorders. You should keep a more open mind and make informed choices rather than just having a blanket ban on all things medical. Posted by Suseonline, Monday, 29 July 2013 10:58:36 PM

thanks arjay..on re-thinking on your post overnight
perhaps idodine is removed from our food for the reasoning..,*you state.. if its radio-active could explain a why..it is extracted..in the first place im still going that its deliberate to make us sick..much like lack of folate...in our diet* Posted by one under god, Tuesday, 30 July 2013 8:47:25 AM

UOG see http://fairewinds.org/ Arnie Gunderson knows a lot about hot particles and the damage they can do to our bodies. Many radio active particles mimic elements our bodies need and we readily absorb them, thus get cancer many years later.
Google Dr Helen Cauldicott also. Posted by Arjay, Tuesday, 30 July 2013 10:17:12 PM

yes,helen does some interesting work
must visit the link later for now i found more info re cancer..linked to height http://healthland.time.com/2013/07/26/how-height-is-connected-to-cancer/ <<..They discovered that for every 10 centimeters of height, a woman’s risk of developing a range of different cancers increased by 13%. When they looked at all the cancers together, they found that taller women had a 13% to 17% greater risk of developing melanoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and colon cancer. They also had a 23% to 29% greater risk of developing kidney, rectum, thyroid and blood cancers. All of the cancers showed a positive association with height; none of the taller women showed a lower risk of cancer compared to their shorter counterparts. While the connection seems odd, previous studies have exposed the same association; it’s possible, for example, that on the most basic level, the greater number of cells and tissues that taller people possess simply increases the odds that some of those cells will develop abnormally and become malignant. Alternatively, some of the same processes that fuel the growth that contributes to height may also feed tumors. “Ultimately, cancer is a result of processes having to do with growth, so it makes sense that hormones or other growth factors that influence height may also influence cancer risk, said Geoffrey Kabat, a senior epidemiologist in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in a statement. (MORE: Another Case of Brain Cancer In Baseball. What’s Going On?) Some of those common factors may be genetic, while others could be linked to environmental exposures or nutrition early in life. Dear OUG,
I found the following link useful: http://canceraustralia.gov.au/affected-cancer/cancer-types/thyroid-cancer/thyroid-cancer-statistics Especially clicking onto "Thyroid cancer," which explained quite a bit. We're lucky to be living in a country where access to the best available medicine technologies and professional help is so easily available. Posted by Lexi, Wednesday, 31 July 2013 10:58:51 AM

Why Medicine Won’t Allow Cancer to Be Cured
http://www.wakingtimes.com/2013/08/07/why-medicine-wont-allow-cancer-to-be-cured/ Waking Times Imagine a commercial plane crashed and there were some fatalities involved. You can be sure that would make the headline of every major newspaper. Well, we have the equivalent of 8-10 planes crashing EVERY DAY with everyone on board dying from cancer. Seralini to visit UK to speak about his research (on links between GMOs and increased cancer risks) http://www.gmwatch.org/index.php/news/archive/2013/14946-seralini-to-visit-uk-to-speak-about-his-research There are powerful forces that don’t want you to hear this message. The US is currently trying to force GM foods into Europe through the EU-US free trade agreement and sees Britain as the weak link in European resistance to GM. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/08/06/genetic-modification.aspx?e_cid=20130806_DNL_art_2&utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art2&utm_campaign=20130806 That’s not because the British people want GM – they overwhelmingly do not – but because our government is rabidly pro-GM and is moving in lockstep with US government interests on the issue. http://www.responsibletechnology.org/posts/this-little-piggy-was-fed-gmos/ Environment secretary Owen Paterson acts as a mouthpiece for GM industry talking points, even Study: Hating on Fat People Just Makes Them Fatter http://refreshingnews99.blogspot.in/2013/08/study-hating-on-fat-people-just-makes.html There's no denying obesity is a problem. By the summer of 1945 their position was hopeless and numerous attempts to surrender had already been made. Brigadier Gen. Carter W. Clarke stated: “We brought them down to an abject surrender through the accelerated sinking of their merchant marine and hunger alone, and when we didn’t need to do it, and we knew we didn’t need to do it, and they knew that we knew we didn’t need to do it, we used them as an experiment for two atomic bombs.” Posted by one under god, Friday, 9 August 2013 9:57:40 PM

Why is thyroid cancer the fastest rising cancer in women?
by Lisa Collier Cool
Tana Amen, RN was 23 and Charlie Nox was 29 when they were diagnosed with thyroid cancer—now the fastest rising cancer among women.
Not only have rates of the disease soared by 240 percent over the past 20 years, but it’s expected to become the third most common cancer in the US by 2019,
my question is
are the supplements..for low thyroid ..[thyroxin]
may be not helping ..as much as we think..many mainly womenhave been diagnosded..'low thyroid'..
so why are MORE ghetting sick?
