political party's branch problems

All party's have problems with some Branch's, just why do all party's sometimes over rule Branch's?
No doubt some will want to highlight one party not all here, Gday Tapp.
But if you are in a party's any party and go to branch meetings you may find common ground.
Sometimes so very boring and often every vote has been given the go by one section long before the meeting branches often drive all but one faction away from meetings and it is no accident.
So a party finds a candidate that in no way fits the expected mold put up by a branch that in truth is privately owned ,why not over rule that branch?
Is the wanted outcome for any party the best candidate they can find?
If you have never attended a branch meeting of any party I invite you to do so.
But be prepared to be bored, to want to jump out any window, to fall ill , to find any reason never to go back again.
I had one dreadful night that saw loverly old folk line up just before the vote to ask the person who owned my branch ,how did you want us to vote again?
How many stars of the future would sit in such a branch?
one night of torture every month?
Better to have less Branch's than such as these.

Hi Belly

You seem to believe that i only see labor as the bad party but no i see the liberals as bad as well.

Both party's have their good points but to work together is impossible.

Politics with the liberal and labor party is like a see saw never any balance.

With regards to branches both have this problem and what should be representatives for the people are really representatives for a party agenda.

Something with TAPP ( The Australian Peoples Party) this agenda is about the people with the right of representatives to stand and have a voice, a voice not dictated by the party.

The people should when voting not vote for me or anyone else but vote for themselves.

This is vote for who will truely represent them.

Tapp it is not as hard to get the wanted results out of a party with one or two people in it.
I suspect the fact branch meetings drive people away is a reason few are posting here.
But the problem is a very real danger to both party's.
I find it an insult to go to a meeting and see the very well meaning elderly members used as fodder to vote for an extremist point of view that clearly is outside that party's platform.
And for this reason am not totally opposed to HQ putting a candidate in some seats.
In fact they should look at branch structures more closely, some conservative Branch's need help.

The dropping of candidates into seats is a symptom of Branch's not always being able to bring real people to meetings.
NSW press yesterday was full of branch problems in both party's.
In fact from the P AND C to any social meetings we all avoid going to respect for members time.
And views is the first step, or meetings and Branch's will be held in phone boxes .
As a result great power will be in the hands of great idiots forever.
Tapp did Greg say Gday?
Good bloke good candidate great result for the party.
