Life on Earth is a chance and random occurence. No-one created it. No-one controls it. Make the most of it. You only get one go.

I am a Christian. Do you want my definition of the Meaning of Life?
Well I will give it to you anyway! I call it the "Fish Tank Theory" God Created the Universe and observes from a distance like looking into a fishtank. Most people live and die without knowing for sure, and never have any proof to the contrary. But a select few will come into contact and eventually leave the fishtank and meet God one on one. If you have ever seen the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster it is a good analogy. God Bless Luke 7:35 Posted by Luke 7:35, Friday, 4 May 2007 8:10:45 PM

"God Created the Universe and observes from a distance like looking into a fishtank."
Sorry, but I refuse to just be a fish to amuse God :) I don't want to meet the alleged him either, too many boring old farts would hang out it heaven. The purpose of life is what we choose to make it. You'll find people busily following their passions, whatever they are, seem the happiest. What we do know, is that heaven is here and now. So best to enjoy and appreciate every day, once the worms move in its too late :( Posted by Yabby, Friday, 4 May 2007 9:02:03 PM

WHY RE-INVENT THE WHEEL ?
If someone has done the hard yards, racked their brains and worked it out.. why re-do it? Solomon concluded in Ecclesiastes as follows: 8 "Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. [a] "Everything is meaningless!" The Conclusion of the Matter 9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true. 11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them. Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body. 13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Yabby.. r u noting?:) The fear mentioned here is a healthy type, not a cringing type. I gently challenge Yabby, Robert and all, to read Ecclesiastes from start to finish, and then reflect on the end conclusion.
