I think the attraction to Houlley's posts (if I can put it like that in purely platonic terms) is his ability to cut through the bull and while he sits at a different place to me ideologically, it is refreshing for this cynical 50-something who has spent too much time in government and around politicians, to witness some straight talking for a change.
