Your right they should not be expected to do it all. Farmers should be able to say what they would prefer. They raise more than you think. See these people here http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=aussie+helpers+outback&btnG=Google+Search&meta=cr%3DcountryAU

These two wonderful people are giving away over 600 tons of feed for stock. They take nothing! for themselves and have saved many already.
Just imagine if we all pitched in Rojo
Do take a look its heart warming."'
They understand the farmers.'
The other thing Rojo the Salvation Army straight point blank lied!
I am going to run out of room soon but next I will post one reply from the Salvation Army to these folk and I know others have written.

Here is a copy of one on my latters to Salvation Army after their many calls to me denying they were requested to assist. Mind You red Cross took much More! money as few years ago. You might not find me too polite towards the end Rojo. A person gets sick of their lies and higher moral ground. that reminds me Animals Australia RSPCA and all Animal Liberation Should be supporting these appeals as well . Not just Us!

Hello Neil

Thanks for that.
I wont waiste your time so I will come to the point.
I have contacted The Ministers office in regards to having feed for stock included in such things as Church based fund raising when dealing with farmers.
After all its only common sense.
The bottom line is the bottom line Neil and if you like we will put it to the public to vote on through the media.
Perhaps the President of RSPCA put it better than I. please see>

Your lady incharge of your fund raising told me personally nobody had ever! requested feed for stock Neil. Thats simply untrue.

My question to you is are the Salvation Army now prepaired to IF the consituion is changed to include supply farmers with feed when running a drought appeal for Farmers?

RELY TO HEAD OF SALVATION ARMY FARMERS DROUGHT APPEAL

Goodmorning Neil

Last night I couldnt sleep with the words ringing through my brain- living waters. I certainly is a cruel name if you look at the animals dying in paddocks just because of a structure of a NFP on paper that needs changing.

Come on now lets be honest. If the churches wanted to include Gods creatures it wouldnt be too difficult to change it now would it.?

That as well as Your lady in charge first words to me when I contacted the office last month. Which were.- To be honest Wendy "I have never even thought about it." How could you see such suffering of dying animals and not think about it?

.
So I got out of bed and called some of our members who are lawyers to see what could be done.

They seem to think under circumstances of floods and droughts if you are doing a farmers appeal that it should not be too difficult.
I am more than happy to meet with you along with some others who would be happy to assist in requesting this ammendmant. They also stated there is no reason Salavation Army could not form a realshonship with another NFP organisation to have water a feed for stock delivered or at least paid for.
We have such an organisation and would be happy to give Salavation Army an undertaking that not one cent of these funds would be taken by us.

paleif,
The aussiehelpers charity is nothing short of outstanding and I'm sorry I missed the appearance on Australian story.
Perhaps this is a much better vehicle to raise money for animals rather than clouding the issue with principly humanitarian organisations. Then there is no conflict over the allocation of funds, or figuring whether money donated was for people or animals. I do note that the aussiehelpers have also been delivering large amounts of groceries. This is also important because farmers will often go without in order to keep the stock alive. It's also easier to put feed on account than it is for groceries. Supermarkets don't seem to do that sort of thing.

Sadly so much of allocated government money for drought etc is spent on bureaucrats which could be better utilised by groups like the aussiehelpers.

Yes you have raised good points however it wasnt money we asked for in the first place from the Salvation Army but help to get the word out farmers are desperate for water and feed.

If they would just meet with the Aussie helpers and listen a lot more co operation could result with some wonderful results.

The truth is there are really good people still in this world that want to help but dont know how.

They could ask a school to sponser a farm for example and farm animals.
They could also arrange much needed water simply by asking tanker drivers to donate time.

I am pleased to hear the Aussie workers are looking at opening two more agents or branches.

Perhaps the Salvos could ask some of their church Members to donate some time to deliver food for both people and stock.

The Aussie helpers have done wonders with Street Kids too.

There is a area that the Salvos could help with and very much to their advantage.
So far fifteen kids have turned their life around who were living in the streets of Brisbane.

To thruth is i have been asking also for years Steve Fielding for some policy on Animal Welfare.

The RSPCA QLD CEO and myself flew down finally last year from QLD to melbourne to meet with him.

Still no reply. nothing. Thats four years of no reply.

I just cant except they take no leadership towards Gods creatures and I dont care what any clever Poly might say in their defence.

Its just doesnt seen right to me.

They didnt say one word about Amandas piggery and others or the 60 Minutes reports or anything else.

In general they have no interest in Animal Welfare.

Well Farms are all about Animals guys so maybe they should back off their fund raising and leave it to those who understand farmers the best.
They sure dont get it.

Thats for sure.
