Arjay, clearly what is said, is wrong. Fact is that amongst the so
called old money, the many offspring are all squabbling over their
share. The serious money, as I've shown with a few examples including
the richest people in America, came from nowhere, with little but
innovation and great ideas. The guy who pulled off the big short
for instance, started life with zilch.
The interesting question arises however, why are you so frigging
envious of those who are clearly smarter then you and landed up
making a fortune? Why do you want to be in "the big club" ?
I certainly don't. The most valuable thing in my life is not
money, but time to do exactly what I feel like doing, not what I
have to do. Life is far too short to waste, worrying about adding
another million to the bank account, IMHO. Why would I want all
that stress?
At some point Arjay, you might or might not realise to appreciate
the things you do have and if others have more, so what? Next
thing you'll go to the doctor and he'll give you the bad news, all
that stress means you have cancer or something similar. What good
is it all to you then?
Much better you forget about your perceived new world order and
go and spend some quality time with the wife and kids or anything
else tha matters to you. Unless of course conspiracy theories
are your hobby and you get your buzz speculating about them,
which in your case, seems to be the reality.
I put it down to good old neural wiring. Some people just can't
help themselves. Its a bit like Runner and his religion. Life
for him would be miserable without it. In your case its conspiracy
theories. The mind is what the brain does, after all.
