//Isn't it funny how human rights can be cherry picked from the array to choose from when and if suits// Pelican.

No Pelly...it's not funny ..it's sinister. I am developing a theme which will become apparent if a new discussion I've raised is accepted.

It all begins with Quintus Fabius Maximus :) we have a long road to travel on that one, but if patience previals.. we will get there.. (all of us)

On the issue of "WHY" nations don't determine trade based on human rights considerations? aaaah... for the same reason Fabius Maximus did not confront Hannibal in direct open warfare.

Do you know what that reason is ? aaaah..*homework* :) do a wiki on Fabius Maximus.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabius_Maximus

You will find the answer in the first paragraph

Understand this, and your eyes will be opened to understand Western politics today.... the big picture I mean.

I forgot to add...for Arjay's benefit "Yes..of course it's a Mossad Plot"

In fact..EVerything is :) and when it's not...it's the CIA and even THEN...they are controlled by the "Jewish Lobby"....right ?

Some names to investigate

Queen Esther
Mordacai
Daniel
Nehemiah
Ezra
Isaiah
Jeremiah

Yep...definitely Mossad...or.. perhaps, as the US Declaration of Independance says:

//And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.//

Perhaps.....it's a bit of that ?

stevenlmeyer,

Those arrest warrants sound like a marvellous idea, I doubt if the practice will be widespread for obvious reasons that have nothing to do with Mossad. After the forged passports debacle, I wouldn't have much confidence in Mossad to organize a bus excursion....unless...that was another clever plot. However, I'd give Mossad full marks for hubris.

I couldn't think of any country that's less vulnerable to pressure from human rights activists than China.

Arjay,

"Both Bush and Blair should be put on trial for the illegal invason of iraq"

At last, a comment I agree with completely.

A combination of money, power and ruthlessness always trumps human rights activism. China has plenty of both.

For the rest I hope you all realise that the original post was meant as a spoof. I thought the ;-) was a bit of a give-away.
