Chicken run 4 or Chooks will be chooks

Someone has left the chooks' feed shed ajar slightly!
Yet another Cockerel (WA Nat) has dispensed with the party Goose and now thinks he can crow and wants a whole bag om mash to him self .
One old rooster (Qld Nat senator) has already fell off his perch squawking loudly about a another (independent) rooster being let in to feed.

Then the new Cock of the walk (a rambunctious Roman Blue) is Squawking that he alone, is able to control the illegals other breeds from being introduced into the greater farm . He is strutting and prematurely crowing have a mandate to be there anyway.
So much for the myth that the Roman Blues are the Farmers choice and they are united enough or more appropriate to rule the roost.

All this despite the fact the the majority of the chooks in the yard are a mixture of breeds
from the Aussie Rainbow (a hardy cross breed for local Aussie conditions, if a little skittish at times) are squabbling over who among them left the door ajar.
The truth is it was a combination of lack of thought and distraction by the Chicken little syndrome that the farmers left the door ajar.

It just goes to show how quickly and how far the chooks go when trough wallowing/ opportunistic gorging is in the offing.

Avian flu anyone?

My Friend examinator and I mean Friend, that is the product of the southern end of a north bound Bull.
All three ex Nats are loved and respected by those who elected them.
No man in the house is more honest than the one who said no buying my vote at any price Windsor.
Rob Oakshot won the seat of former Nats leader, not a give me.
Trust him I do and will continue to even if he puts Abbott in charge.
BLAME? Labor, Bob Brown, sorry C J Morgan the fool quietly said not to give Labor greens preferences.
However once Bill Shortens has the rains we will get a leader who IS what we thought Rudd WAS AND WILL NOT CHANGE EVER.

Belly,yep mate

I didn't mention the 3 only the WA Nat that doesn't want to be in the Coalition and wants the mineral royalties disproportionately to his electorate.

IMO my satirical piece says it all.
From the reference to the insurance ad where the guy tears his bill then blames the dog rather than blame himself for his lack of thought.
to the idiotic charade that either major is going to change....over riding their internecine power structures.

Clearly You and I disagree that it's the Greens fault no one pointed a gun at the voters....no one made either party run the worst campaign in my memory.

Labor surrendered the our electorate without a fight.
The candidate ducked all 3 public forums virtually no advertising ...no profile. keep in mind it's a notional Labor seat it went from 200 votes to 9% buffer for the Libs and he's a drone.

The Greens aren't pure "honest brokers" they have their own agenda to be The big Kahuna. They are every bit as opportunistic as the other parties and have and will compromise integrity for corporate power.

The key difference between the Democrats and the Greens that for 26 years the dems were seen as the honest broker. They fouled this perception by playing politics al la The biggies.

Note to CJ ...The Greens in neighbouring seats to mine are like the nesting in Lake Ayre they only appear with periodic floods(elections) and disappear when they're not.

The over all point was that both parties are playing pick off politics ...they are and remain committed to THEIR POWER, the country is a means to that end i.e. "Chooks will be Chooks." dumb, skittish, follow the leader of the moment and mindlessly internecine.

Anybody who thinks that this parliament will in essence be any different than any other are deluding themselves.

BTW From all accounts the Coalition Inc.is just as divided and internecine as Labor Inc.

The party system is broken. The ideals that exist would still exist without them but without the elitist arcane and ossified power structures.

no way I blame the greens.
but come with me here, like me or not Bob Brown is not my cup of tea.
he went on about the preference deal with Labor.
And bank on it, many green voters did not preference Labor.
For the first time in my life I did not preference greens, apart from voting for them in NSW NOT referencing the ALP, I will not preference them again until Brown goes.
My party, helped by leaks, failures and media slaughtering fair comment beat its self.
But being charitable ,at best 15% of us vote greens on a good day wind behind them.
Labor and Libs should deal with each other to make the senate work on behalf of the 85% who will never vote green
Remember Rudd was too gutless to fight for the ETS Brown wanted his way or nothing no hero's in your mob.
And only some blind conservatives who live here think no one can be any good outside their team independents we are talking about look far better than any Nat I can think of

It seems we are not going to get other comments here.
But if we opened a thread just saying the greens what next it would fly.
I have to look back on my youth 23 years of conservative government to rekindle the view only the left can save us.
And I still think I got it wrong then.
Greens what policy's to coal exports, timber harvesting, defense, ties with America.
Do no more than 15% of us have the right to over rule nations defense ties.
Migration can the majority always be wrong minority always right.
Count every seat won, by one side or the other the green votes.
Did those lower house voters know they wasted their votes.
no preference distribution in seats one party won by first vote majority's.
Look for your answers in the greens but know you will not find them.
Lib/lab
must lock them out in the senate on every vote they want to harm this country
