I understand the volcano is emitting CO2 at levels one seventh of what our country emits each day.

It is a good analogy though because if you added up all our exhausts and smoke stacks and put them together it would look seven times larger that what this eruption spews into the atmosphere daily. It also gives us some idea of how far that our pollution propogates. A nasty image.

And we think we are acting sustainably.

csteele, if our exhausts and smoke stacks are emitting seven times the amount that the volcano does, why are our airports still operational when Europe's are not?
