Dear Examinator,

We can't worry too much about who's looking
over our shoulders.

That's not the way most of us want to live.

If they want to pick our brains or check on
what we're doing - most of us would say -
they're welcome to it.
However, I'm sure they've got more important
things to do, and better ways to spend their
valuable time (and money).

We would be upset if someone could access our
credit cards of course, but we have to be
sensible and assume that the banks have
put safeguards in place.

What else can we do?

Foxy, assuming that safeguards are in place is dangerous. Ideally, we should do the opposite, assume that things are not safe until our thorough research indicates otherwise, and stay away from them until we know they are safe or have a realistic idea of the risks.....and certainly not just trust the banks.

Yeah ok, I'm as guilty as anyone for not researching this sort of thing. But I do keep my finances very simple, keep right on top of my credit card debt and stay right away from internet banking, share portfolios and other complications.

This certainly helps reduce the worry factor!

But as far as exploring internet forums and other stuff, and thus possibly giving Big Bro opportunities to gather info on me, yes I do that, but without worrying about it. Afterall, I don't have any skeletons in the closet and a very basic financial situation, into which there would be no point for unscrupulous people trying to meddle.

.....

Hmmm, so what am I doing on a thread that is 20 days old and was about to die? Er I dunno really! Anyway, now it is alive for at least another three weeks. So we'll see who's out there with an alert...or with beedy eyes to pick up on it.

Enough blab. I need a coffee {;~/
