Reported in today`s Sunday Mail on page 9, this heartbreaking story of the Western Regional Mayor, Ray Brown ( currently being paid $101,200PA )who wants the Ratepayers to pay him an extra $10,000 for "out of pocket expenses" such as "buying raffle tickets, meals and entry fees to the local racetrack!"

Well Ray Brown, I might suggest that you pay for your own meals and raffle tickets and take out an annual membership to the racetrack like every "normal" person would do, but I am NOT going to suggest that, instead I am going to suggest that people with their sort of "greed need" who expect the Ratepayers to keep them in a life of luxury and affluence should be dragged out of your office, placed in a set of stocks and tarred and feathered,.....unfortunately for us and fortunately for you we live in a reasonably easy going country where public executions are NOT the penalty for excessive greed,...at least not at this time!

Might I also suggest that anyone with a broken fullstop ie. "." on their keyboard get it fixed right away! These exclamation marks! are driving me f!ck!ng insane! Like all these posts! from !ing Crack!up or Cup f!ng handle.

However crackup do you truly think a Mayor has such a huge pay packet?
I find it hard to believe ANY Mayor in Australia earns such an amount.

Belly, the Brisbane Lord Mayor is on several hundred thousand. As I recall there was much made about his salary being greater than the PM's.

Just another aspect of the never-ending gravy-train that we call politics in this country.

The overwhelming sense of entitlement and greed that carries these people along defies rationality. The contrast with those employed in real jobs is both blinding, and insulting.

Don't these people get enough in backhanders from property developers, that they should hold out their grubby little hands to us as well?
