Ladies & Gentlemen...Mr Howard

With so many impressive election triumphs under his belt and a long parliamentary career behind him...John Howard at 67 years old may be entitled, upon retirement, to a substantial amount of money which perhaps runs into millions of dollars in superannuation payout.s.plus of course the usual perks. However he refuses to retire which in effect means that he is refusing....money an extremely unique and puzzling feature of the human...for humans, and here I am including Howard in this category, never refuse....money.
There may be reasons as to why he cannot abdicate his position. It may well be that he is awaiting a loss at a leadership challenge a remote possibility...where aside from the fact that he is much valued by the Liberals....Costello has committed himself not to challenge. Another avenue may be a loss at a Federal election where he will resign and retire gracefully under the usual circumstances of a rejected leader.
Even this notion which is saddled with that lead filled baggage of those intimidating high interest rates and those everlasting high fuel prices is in no man's land for Howard.
Signor Beazley has just become a political matador and is red flagging the ALP bull with his proposal of a substantial change to the ALP's uranium policy. Many do not realise that this policy is to be debated at the upcoming ALP Conference which takes place just months away from a Federal election...a risky move for the ALP. Of course during this period and especially if Beazley is downsized by his own party...the possibility of the reincarnation of the Latham motor mouth cannot be discounted which may mean that Howard shall reign again.

Now..now wo/man of Steel....I see that I have to clarify my point here. The performance of the Labour Opposition has absolutely nothing to do with the above post.
It is quite clear that Mr. Howard...who is entitled to the above renumerations is not taking the advantage (as similiar to his predecessors) and retire...at 67 years old.Why Has anybody ever questioned this Or...do they see the fact that he may be refusing millions of dollars plus perks...at 67 years old....normal? what is he waiting for.....until he is told that he is terminally ill Do many of you see this fact...normal...when human beings NEVER refuse money

I think it's because of his ego. He is doing it to make a political statement/record (isn't he close to the longest serving?). He is in the record books anyway, but I think deep down he has to 'prove' himself still. I do think it's a little weird, but wouldn't you want to go for a record in the same situation?

I tell you Steel....he has another 6 years to go just to reach Menzies' record (Bob Menzies was Prime Minister for 16 years)....which will make him 73 years old. Has Australia had a Prime Minister that old before?
And you must know something about the human being Steel....s/he will forgo ego......for MONEY.Money always wins over ego.It won the day for Hawke...and Keating......but not Howard eh
You do not know much about human nature my friend

Considering that troll Latham is on a generous pension, courtesy of our taxes, I would regard any amount which we paid John Howard better value than paying the Bankstown Bruiser a single red cent.
