About twenty or more years ago when the ban was applied their was a concern for the croc's demise but as any "true" hunter knows that when you hunt them close to extinction their is nothing left to hunt.
A great system for sustainable hunting, whether for food,profit or bettering the health of the species, has been applied in many countries to the benefit of all living creatures of course under strict control of inspectors. Deer,duck,fish are such an example in Australia, with seasons to match. Same should be applied to crocs. If not, the powers to be haven't got your well-being at heart!
