Villawood is not a hell hole, it has existed for a very long time and never was part of Howard's offshore detention madness.
It holds some criminals as bad as any in a prison.
And it holds some who would run if let out in the community.
Yes no doubt sometimes out holds people we would not detain but it is not our call.
Roof top riots do take place as some fight to stay in this country, and story's of harsh treatment have been told.
But are they always true?
Or just driven by desperation to stay.
The length of a stay in this place can be more often is, as a result of legal appeals process.
It takes time to exhaust every avenue and many want to do that.
Would we fight to have a prison closed down?
How can we control criminals or those we find a danger to us without a Villawood?
The very left see any chance to complain , to be seen, as an opportunity.
Do not forget this is such an issue, tell me every rejected migrant can be let free till we want them but in truth it is not true.
