Dear Aro,
It would be nice if we could divert unprecedented energy and resources to the real problems that face us globally, including poverty, disease, overpopulation, injustice, oppression, and the devastation of our natural environment. If our ultimate choice could be to enhance the life on this beautiful planet on which all of us share our adventure. Posted by Foxy, Monday, 6 October 2008 5:51:02 PM

You gave me a hearty chuckle aro.Actually I used to bag Julia Gillard, yet she seems to have more diligence, balls and common sense than Kevin could muster in his wildest dreams.Julia could well become our first female PM.The boring mono tones used to really annoy me,but Julia has developed certain subtle charisma that is now appealing to me.

Wouldn't it be good if
We had sufficient information regardfing global warming to make up our own minds? Email me on jmcribbes@bigpond.com for my latest Internet reference list as well as a copy of the email that Lord Monckton sent Penny Wong. Posted by phoenix94, Tuesday, 7 October 2008 10:26:55 AM

Gee Arjay, where have you been?
Locked up in a Tibetan monastery, for the last 10 years, on a bottle of Viagra a day, would be my best guess. You poor man. Posted by Hasbeen, Tuesday, 7 October 2008 10:49:00 AM

Wouldn't it be nice if...
Public servants focused more on doing the core work than making sure they used to right colour pen, stapled in the rights place and attended the right number of meetings. Customers and customer serivice staff were polite to each other al thee time - it's not their fault you had a bad day. Banks stopped justifying recorsd profits when they fly staff to parties and supply limousines out of the shareholders profits. Australia stayed Australian instead of becoming ever more bound by foreignisms (mainly American at the moment). We all took the time to take time! Why rush everywhere? I'd rather be 5 minutes late than DEAD on time. Neighbours knew each other and helped each other. Posted by 27bstroke6, Friday, 10 October 2008 3:28:42 PM

Sorry - I can't resist:
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older Then we wouldn't have to wait so long And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong You know it's gonna make it that much better When we can say goodnight and stay together Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new And after having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through Happy times together weve been spending I wish that every kiss was neverending Wouldn't it be nice Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do We could be married And then we'd be happy Wouldn't it be nice You know it seems the more we talk about it It only makes it worse to live without it But let's talk about it Wouldn't it be nice http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=L--cqAI3IUI Posted by CJ Morgan, Friday, 10 October 2008 3:40:12 PM

Wouldn't it be nice if ...
1) If just once we could see the headline, "Psychic Wins Tattslotto." 2) If doctors would stop calling what they do, "practice." 3) If we could have mouse-flavoured cat food. 4) If Noah would have swatted those two mosquitos. 5) If sheep shrank when it rained. 6) If people who order double-cheeseburgers, and large fries, would stop asking for "diet cokes." 7) If we were told who tested the dog-food, when it's marked - "New" and "Flavour Enhanced." Dear CJ,
This one's for you: "Wouldn't this old world be better, If the people we meet would say, 'I know something good about you,' And then treat us just that way. Wouldn't it be a truly great thing, If each handclasp warm and true, Carried with it this assurance, 'I know good things about you.' Wouldn't things here be more pleasant, If the good that's in us all, Were the only things about us, That people bothered to recall. Wouldn't life be lots more happy, If we praised the good we see, For there's such a lot of goodness In the worst of you and me. Wouldn't it be nice to practice, This fine way of thinking too, 'You know something good about me, I know something good about you!'" Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 12 October 2008 9:57:04 AM
