Exactly! In UK last month I saw a talk show where several Africans were being interviewed about this very point. They all, at some time, mentioned that they prefer doing business with China because it has no colonial history in their country.

Having spent many years in Africa and living now in China I understand completely.

Also, at my University here are several exchange students from the countries mentioned in the article. They all say that, under colonial administration, none of their forebears ever had a a chance even to go to High School, let alone University, or to study overseas.

Until all nations can look critically at their own human rights and economic histories I fear that we will only see more of the same. Although eventually all that greed has to implode as we are beginning to witness in current times.
