Hardly a totalitarian communist dictator in the making, I would have thought.
Clearly Chile suffered from a capital strike towards the end of Allende's rule, but if Kissinger, of all people, had judged Allende to be an example of a "successful Marxist Government" that people in other parts of the world would willingly want to emulate, then that's good enough for me.
Why isn't that good enough for you, Paul.L?
